I Bought a VW Eurovan and Something Bad Happened.

Hope you stuck with it.. I've been a eurovan man for 20 yrs... don't know where I'd be without it.... I had one like yours and upgraded to an '02 with the VR6... Should have swapped out the manual from the old one instead of selling it... I know a few peops who have done it after the fact... The advantages have been so much: cargo- you fold down the seats, sheets of ply or dry rock slide right in... I've found good deals on laundry machines, friges, stoves... seats come out, everything goes right in...I've got a banging stereo system in mine.. I have an MV model which has the seats that fold into a bed, perfect if you're driving long and want to take a power nap, or you lady wants to get busy on the spur of the moment.. I'll sell my R8 before I sell my van..

Bit late but hey, The 3 Control Panels for the Air are not Just for Fun there, the 1st one is For the Driver and Passenger, the 2nd One for the Middle row and the 3rd one For the 3rd row. The One with the Ice symbol is the Parking Cooler, The other Big one is for the parking heater. The Last thing below every Cooling/Heating System is for Driving, like when you Drive 60 on the Highway and its too Cold, you Push it to the Red Triangle, When its too Hot you push it to the Blue Triangle to cool the entire Car down. Also Fun fact: There are *ALOT* of Other options for the T4, Like another Side Door on the left, 3320mm Wheelbase (Stock is 2920mm), TDI Engines (68 HP, 86 HP, 102 HP and 151 HP), Automatic Gearbox, Facelift, Rear wing doors (stock for the 3320mm Wheelbase or normal Transporter without any Seats or extra Windows) and much much more. Then there's the Caravelle, Multivan, Multivan Allstar and California, the California has 3 Options: Calfiornia Beach, Club and Tour, The Club and Tour both have 3320mm Wheelbase Stock and nice Features in the Interior, the Beach has a 2920mm Wheelbase, with some less Features. The Multivan has a Mini Table on the Left, which wont allow the T4 to have a 2nd Side door, also the Multivan and Multivan Allstar don't have a 3320mm Wheelbase, But Features other T4's don't have. The Caravelle is a Minibus like the Eurovan and the Multivan, it can have Up to 9 Seats, 3320mm Wheelbase, it has Facelift stock (since 1996) and Another Nice features. Sadly it has been built in 1990-2003 :(

I rebuilt two of these for dirt cheap, that is if you do your own labor and are a VW tech. I'm at 300K after my rebuild at 120K. I have a manual and an automatic. Auto I use when feeling lazy, even though the AG4 style tranny sucks even after rebuild. With the manual, I updated 5th gear to a taller overdrive 5th. I love it now. Good luck buddy. Do you know about Eurovan repair forums? The Samba, Cavevan Forum, yahoo' s EVupdate. Then there is the VW t4 forum. There is a lot of information on t4wiki, but is written in German. We are all waiting to help you on these forums
