I like this project because you say the Legacy having the same engine as the wrx but Legacy's are not abused as wrx's so you have a better chance of finding an unmolested one on the market.

The legacy spec b is not an STI, its a appearance package with a little bit of performance.

That radio was from a 2007 and up Spec B. The 2006 did not have an aux input.

You mentioned alignment, I have a 2000 legacy L wagon I changed one axle going to change the other one too and was going to take it to the alignment shop. But then I hear that subarus are notorious for wearing out the front tires maybe because of the struts, you know anything about that? The original boxer engine does seem to be massive for the car size.

Yeah you guys are lucky to have such an abundance of them. Finding these is in the states is tough, but not impossible. Congrats on the new ride!

You could have gotten lucky and no valves were bent depending on the situation. But with the mileage on the engine I would go with the swap, even though it was well maintained that’s a lot of miles for a turbo car. Especially if you want more power out of it 😉

Creal McKee Possibly. I can’t put a belt on because the cam gear is destroyed. I’m gonna pull the engine and inspect the block. A swap might be better but they are quite pricey...

Its a rare car but not super rare, find one thats not wrecked or thats all original with low miles thats super rare lol

I’ve learned that in other parts of the world they are pretty commonplace, but they are pretty tough to find here in the states.
