Yeah when you open the form and knife the latches holding onto the pins release and allow you to have 2 separate utensils. You can put them back together but make sure both fork and knife are open

For that shovel/pole, you put the knife and other tools in each tube before twisting them together. So when you're trekking around you can unscrew whatever tools you need instead of removing from the top. So a knife can be on the bottom and use as a dagger or on top like a spear.

For survival, I'd probably opt out of those options and get a nice full tang knife. But you did have a few great things there such as the hammock (I'd recommend getting tree straps for it), the sleeping bag (the material it's made of looks like a life blanket, will trap 90% of heat), and the paracord bomb since that gives you quite a few goods like the paracord and fishing kit. Not bad, I'd maybe give you a week with your items there, month and a half if you learn to properly use all the items

i think the pole and shovel combo comes together.. i think the pole must use if the ground is much harder so you can soften the ground first before shoveling it, so the shovel won't stress too much.. the sleeping bag i think is a thermal blanket use by fire fighters if i'm not mistaken and i think the last should come apart so it can be use separately..
