I honestly thought this is where this video was headed, and I was kind of into it. Question: Would you keep it hollow, or fill in the center with cheaper dice, or use the gold dice all the way through? I feel like if it was solid, you might run into greater danger of damaging your tabletop just rolling the thing. Thoughts?

I'm sure it's not the highest number of D6 rolls per round, but I've always been fond of the fact that a 17th level character casting Conjure Animals at 9th level can summon 32 swarms of rats, dealing 64d6 damage in one round. In addition, 1 swarm of rats is about 25 rats, meaning that 32 swarms is equal to 800 rats swarming the battlefield.

Giant poisonous snake is the same CR, but does 1d4 + 3d6 poison dmg so it would be 32d4 + 96d6. There is also the Dual Focus feat in the taldore campaign guide (1st one) that lets you concentrate on 2 spells. so for at least 1 turn you could have 192d6.

Welcome back! Great to see one of your videos. I hope life's been treating you well. For the damage: For melee spells, I'd say a Flame Blade at 6th lvl (5d6) + martial adept feat with trip attack (+1d6). Make sure you're surrounded and have whirlwind attack (hunter archetype ranger) for up to 8 attack rolls. Then have a wildfire druid spirit that casts fiery teleport. It deals an extra 1d6 damage to each creature surrounding you. This 1 turn yields, in best conditions: 7d6 x 8 = 56 d6 damage. To gain this, take 11 lvl's in ranger and then 9 lvl's in druid. For pure weapon attacks: Have a 5th lvl paladin with branding smite. Have the martial adept feat with feinting attack (+1d6 and advantage!!!). Have a scimitar equipped (+1d6) or a short sword. Then put the 15 lvl's in rogue (+8d6) and pick arcane trickster. At this point you deal 1d6 (scimitar) + 1d6 (feinting attack) + 8d6 (sneak attack) + 4d6 (4th lvl branding smite) = 14 d6 damage to a single target in one turn.

Don't forget to add a poison to the blade - purple worm is 12D6 extra, though there may be more potent ones. And if your DM goes by the double damage die count critical that is getting stupid, being your 2(14+12)+stat modifiers of damage.

Dollars to doughnuts the difference in font is that the smaller font d6s are from the polyhedron sets where as the thicker beefer font is from the solo d6 purchases which were likely two different runs of dice.
