The storage unit journey occurs like it is working for sales and for content. The production value for both channels has improved greatly by having a "cameraperson". Much more enjoyable watching when y'all have both hands and greater movement. I appreciate that you don't talk over each other's video, no problem for the occasional word.

How to get rid of mattresses. Set up a piece of plywood on saw horses. Get a utility knife and a 4 1/2 angle grinder with a metal cutting thin disc, Cut the fabric. Cut the hog rings as necessary to remove material from the metal springs/ frame. A small bolt cutter would also work, The grinder will cut staples off the wood. Section the springs if necessary, The fabric goes into a dumpster/trash day. The metal gets recycled. The wood is for the wood stove or fire pit. Quicker with 2 people/grinders. Less walking. Foam mattress get cut into sections. A long blade ground knife edge in a recip. saw Turn $10 cost into 7 cent a pound profit.

Saw your Coinstar video Taco yesterday and this fits in with that. I bought a $40 5x15 unit this week and used my Credit union coin counter today for all the change that was in it. There were some scattered coins but 99% were in a little leather purse. Didn't even have to collect them for 2 years for this stash. I got $65 (only about 1/4 pennies)so I made a $25 profit right off the bat, and so the Unit contents was basically FREE. As I was telling Renee in her Storage locker video, There were 2 larger LifeTime tables and 5 smaller 2x2 folding ones. Three 10x10 pop-up tents and 14 10 Gallon Home Depot Igloo drink coolers. A few coats and clothes as well as New with tags Baby clothes and new packaged baby items. 2 small dressers filled with baby clothes got donated to a church so NO trash fees either

I got rid of my mattress by pulling it apart. I put the metal in the recycling. All you need is scissors for fabric and pliers to pull the metal apart. Fun and games. Free to get rid of. 🎉🎉😂

Wow! In Texas we just burn the old mattresses. They're mostly cotton and wood just pick up the hardware from the box springs when we're done. Never burn foam or other materials because those can release toxins into the air. Cut it up and bag it. The garage collection will pick it up.

Instead of paying to get rid of the mattresses (as long as they are spring mattresses) why not cut the outside material off? Now, you can get paid from the metal scrappers to get rid of it. The springs are the heaviest part of the mattress, so the most money you can make from scrapping it.

It's fairly difficult to get the mattress cover off since they are stapled to the wood frame and then you have to remove most of the wood. I have done it a couple times before. If I posted 1 video a week or maybe 2 I would certainly have more time to tinker and do things like that but given the time it takes to do it and storage / transportation logistics it's not worth the time. It's worth maybe $2-3 in scrap as well.
