Congrats Louie! Not just a painting but one of the most iconic cards in the game. Great pick! I pulled a Beta Curio of Extinguish and commissioned Brian Smith to do an artist proof to go with it. I'd LOVE to own that original painting but a mini painting will have to do. APs are a nice "budget" way to go for those special cards if people want art.

There's probably 40-50, if not more subjectively, paintings in Sorcery that are just iconic works and will be remembered for it imo. Your painting is among them. So glad to be a part of Sorcery in its infancy, it will mean more later on.

Art is what piqued my interest in this game and I have picked up a few APs as an easier entry point and hope to have an original one day. Pretty painting ^_^ it's very nice to have an original piece of something you enjoy. The frame is nice as well. Art is very subjective, I have a bunch of original pieces, spent silly amounts of money on them and they are worth nothing unless i can magically find someone else with my exact tastes. One of my absolute favorites is a hand drawn profile of Venom in prismacolor that is so well done it looks like it could pop off the paper and eat your head! It's by an unknown local artist who was selling prints and I told her I'd buy the original which she'd never done before. If you like art, buy it and don't look back, the right pieces will always resonate you and bring you joy when you look at them.

Would it be tacky or cool to put the different card versions next to the painting? Like alpha nf alpha foil, beta nf beta foil.. etc

If you do one of each printing, sample version, alpha, beta, the foils of each version, and perhaps an artist proof, space the cards out evenly and put it in another picture frame that looks the exact same as the painting, same size/wood/finish/etc. Then I think it would look great having both side by side.

Very nice louie and thanks for sharing. The art bug just hit me while waiting at the children's hospital for my daughters appt. An artist did a hand carved Totem representing family and a child's struggle through an illness as a sign of the journey. Looked into their other stuff and definitely hope to own something like that along with some tcg art.
