I know I have been away for a while, times have been strange due to covid 19. I used my KZbin account to purchase the bike and thank you all for the continued support which let me do this. I have some great plans for this bike where we will take it on an adventure. Let's get this video out there, so give it a like and share it!! My videos will now be shorter but hopefully more regular going forwards.

Best wishes with the restortion project. When finished; you will enjoy the benefits of what these MZ 250's were designed for and still great at...cheap, reliable, everyday transport.

My first motorcycle 1st August 1975 P reg. You could ride up to 250cc on L plates. Happy memories of long rides in 75 and 76 miss that noble chariot.

In about 1980 my maths teacher had one of these. Then the joke was Q "why is an MZ like a granny?" A "Because everyone knows what they are, but nobody wants to ride them!" Yes, they were the bike that no one wanted. We all wanted RD 250 & 350 LCs. Interesting project - good luck.

Very nice! Looks like a 250/0 with the small fuel tank from the TS150. If that's its original tank, it's quite rare since they only came like that for a very short while.
@TheDonInLondon
@TheDonInLondon 3 жыл бұрын
Yes you are correct it is from the 150 but it is also the original tank think maybe they only came with the 4 speed maybe but not sure. Thanks buddy, already published a few videos on this and more to come 😁

Great bikes! Good luck with the renovation. I did mine earlier this year during lockdown. They are well engineered, easy to work on and are brilliant for backroads. They’ll keep up with modern traffic up to 60mph and sit all day flat out at 75-80mph in reasonable comfort. Just make sure you either set the front brake up properly or upgrade to a drum TLS (70’s Honda CB350 works well and keeps the period look) or fit the disc brake front end from a later ETZ. ONS and pattern parts all readily available and MZ riders forum a good source of info and parts.

Cheers buddy! Yes can't wait to get her on the road. Have been thinking about upgrading the front brake. Will see what I do when I get there as I am not sure. Second video already out too! Welcome to the channel buddy!
