Where was that Strikeface panel mounted? I can't figure from the shape of it where it would have been. I know the doors were offered with optional kevlar panels, but I didn't know they could be had in the trunk as well. If that panel came from the trunk, where was it mounted in the trunk?

Do you have any of the Troy consoles for sale? Looking for a straight console from a Crown Vic for a restoration project. That unit in the trunk is probably a power control module for the siren control head. Worked for a couple of radio shops in the day and used to "build" up cruisers. Not a fun job tearing into a new Crown Vic they are so nice new from the factory. Funny had to pick a couple of new cars from the dealer one time with a co worker. All white and no license plates on the car. We must have passed two state troopers and three city cars taking them back to the shop. Several of the officers even waved or gave us the "thumbs up". It was nice driving with no plates on the cars. Yeah the police packages were dead give aways by the black steel rims and the side spots pre installed by Ford. The odd car in the bunch one time was a "fully equipped Police intercepter package for the chief of one department with nice wheels and no spots but it had everything under the hood that said police.
