I BOUGHT ANOTHER CAR - Fiat Coupe 1.8 16V

How to celebrate 500 subscribers? Well easy buy another car! I bought this Fiat Coupe from 2000 it is one of the last build by Fiat and is powered by a 1.8 liter 16V Engine which produces about 131 BHP. We will bring this car back to live and do some fun little thing to it.

Always wanted one, planning on picking up a 5 pot. Couple near to me in bad condition, figure im gonna have to look further. There's a specialist a couple hundred miles away selling the limited edition ones. In so many ways its a terrible idea but on the other hand, you only live one time.

@@jtscustomsNL yeah I very much want one to be my first car. The reason its a bad idea is because of logistics is all hah. I have enough saved up to nab a 20v no problem. But I would die for an LE one. Only issue is the cheapest LE I can find in England is double my budget. Got fired from both my jobs last year but once I've scored a fresh job, if I haven't already bought a 20v, I'll treat myself to a 20VT LE

@@thesinisterspoon7290 make sure to look at some different ones and choose the one with proper maintenance history. Most important part is the timing belt! Make sure that it is recently changed. Sadly there are many out there that dont get much love.. good luck!!

@@jtscustomsNL yeah I have a couple ads saved where they've had a wonderful service history and they're in great shape. The LE i have my eyes on was a recent restoration with a nice new cat back and suspension, tune and some other nice quality of life things. 11.5K

@@jtscustomsNL yeah, the Cam belt can be a big job. Not the end of the world if you know how to change them yourself but definitely a time consuming process. Trying to find one thats a good balance between something I can do work to and something that runs well

Heb ook een 1.8 16v. Was aant kijken voor een 16v turbo. Maar prijzig… weet jij als het veel werk is om 1.8 te vervangen door een 2l turbo ? Naar schijnt zou het makkelijk gaan …

Een 16VT is inderdaad best prijzig en het blok ook wel. Kwa ruimte is het te doen maar het probleem zit hem meer in de aansturing en bekabeling. Hier heb je dan vaak al een donor 16VT voor nodig wat het hele project dus een beetje onzinnig maakt.

@@jtscustomsNL ik heb er met een paar coupe liefhebbers erover gehad. Versnellingsbak is hetzelfde, ecu moet je veranderen en de rest was plug and play. Kabelboom weet ik niet als die hetzelfde zijn

Goeden dag effe n vraagjr voor n mooie diepen iutlaat geluid welke gedelte moet ik weg halen?tot nu toe heb alleen de driehoek weg gehaald e vanuit de katalysator een directe RVS buis van 50 mm neergezet en dan een sport eind demper maar het geluid is echt niet mooi het het klinkt blikkerig

Hallo, een dieper uitlaat geluid krijg je vaak alleen met goede dempers. Zodra je delen gaat vervangen met RVS buizen en daarna enkel een sport demper dan krijg je verschillende stukken die elkaar verstoren. Kijk eens naar uitlaten zoals Ragazonn of supersprint

@@jtscustomsNL ha oke dat is waar ik het vermoeden in had ,nou ja ik koop een kant en klare en zet er onder 🤔soms denkt om besparingen maar de affecten zijn dit ,haha geen goede oplossingen bedankt voor de beantwoording

@@Neptune999 ik heb hetzelfde probleem gehad bij mijn Audi. Ik had 2 dempers weg gehaald en het klonk opzich wel leuk maar uiteindelijk toch wel wat blikkerig door de originele delen. In mijn laatste filmpje heb ik ook die uitlaat aangepast.

@@jtscustomsNL tja soms denk je makkelijker ooow het gaat ģoed komen maar toch niet haha ,wat raar van is is dat in mijn oude 3 serie golf 1.6 had uit fabriek alleen een rechte pijp met een katalysator en wat ik toen gedaan heb was alleen de eind demper vervangen met een van remus en die klonk waanzinnig mooi diep e zwaar dus dacht nou met de coupe zal ook zo worden maar toch niet helaas niet
