The soki works and keeps reasonable time. The crystall is glass and easily shatters and it isnt even splash proof.

With the watches that the display would not stay on very long they are like their original counter parts . The early LED watches had a display that would only illuminate for a few seconds or the batteries would have been dead very quickly . I had a couple of them when I was younger . After that the LCD digital watches came along and if you did not use an alarm feature very often if you watch had it or use the backlight too much all was good

you can use them for parts or any good watch that need crystal ,spring bar or bracelet for my experience i wont spend a dime for quartz i love automatic watches only or some high end 40s 50s winding watches

Would be good to look at the cheapest automatic. I bought the cheapest watch I could find, about £1. The case was plastic and it weighed nothing. Even the eyelets in the strap were rusty. I bought the cheapest dive style watch as well,very light for full metal was about £4.

Just buy a orient star. Any model that you seriously like. Forget buying cheap throw away. That orient star will be the only watch you need for the rest of your life. A high quality japanese time piece.
