It could also be that you're racist(not claiming that) as studies have shown that racists have a harder time seeing emotions in people not their own race. You may also have a problem with social cues and may sometimes feel like you don't belong but that is because you also have missing mirror neurons. Which are neurons that fire off when we sense another human doing the same thing. They're simple things like adjusting your body or smiling or keeping eye contact yawning etc etc. you should talk to a therapist and see that sometimes problems you can have with others usually start from with in.

Imo this is how coaching should be / my ideal. It's not about rubbing your skill in your student's faces or just pointing out their mistakes. It's about genuinely teaching them and most importantly getting them to think on their own about what they are being taught. She did a phenomenal job imo. I want more coaches to be like her. She approached the coaching well by giving genuine feedback, sharing her own thoughts and was very respectful to her student's opinions. She also let him voice his own opinions and was open to new ideas he had. Really really great. Thanks for sharing this cool experience with us minish

Tbf Singed is pretty much just a macro champion. If you're really good at macro and know how to play the matchup decently, it'll be pretty hard to tell between a great Singed and the Rank 1 Singed 🤷‍♂️. Compare that to champions like Xerath, GP, or Yone -which require a lot more mechanics to be played well- where you can clearly tell the difference between a good player and the Rank 1. Compare Zwag to any Xerath player, SolarBacca to any GP player, and/or Dzukill to any Yone player and you'll see an obvious difference.

here specifically, but even in a "real" coaching situation, people disagreeing means that there is different reasoning. so as a coach you should give your reasoning (and as a disagreer as well) and then you can compare, usually the coach knows something you dont, but some stuff is just preference and then its ok to disagree actually this goes for pretty much everything :D :D at work, in a relationship and so on

@@Maric18 In most relationships you probably shouldn't have a dynamic where one is considered "grandmaster" at relationships and one is considered "plat/diamond" xD That feels unhealthy. While you aren't wrong, as a coach if you get ignored and questioned on everything it does get to the point where its like "why tf am i even here?" he specifically goes against things she tells him to do fighting when she's said not to, buying different items, roaming at different times. Obviously in this case he DOES know better and so it all turns out fine, and there is a level of disagreement which is fine, however if you disagree and ignore this much in a real coaching then it would quickly become very annoying for most coaches.

If they both work then you should fuse them to know which one is better where and why. Like singed is a giga split pushed and also a great teamfighter, and knowing when to do it based on comp and game state is how you get him perma banned in pro play. I think impact was the only one in the lcs with the balls to give singed a try.

I think the most truth spoken was that everyone needs coaching or at least can benefit from it. Often players reach their ranking for very different reasons. I know people who are the most dog at playing the game but they are very good on their character mechanical and tend to win lane off that and some who are freaking gods at teamfighting. They are both high diamond elo, but they could really benefit from advice a friend of mine can give. He is mid plat elo, not so mechanically gifted and tends to play too many champs as well rather than focusing on a small pool he then gets extremely good at, but he understands macro much much better than the guys despite being way lower in elo. Sadly many people in league have a big ego and tend to think that having higher elo somehow means you are better in every aspect and the other guy cant really tell you shit. I remember very vividly when one of my lets say losely friends (tbh just a guy we sometimes play with) blamed our sup for a "bad dragon call" when in reality he simply moved way too early because he didnt agree with the call, thus griefing our team. When he said "I think the call was good if we group a bit faster" he was like "yeah but you are gold and I'm diamond just believe me it was a bad call" like the classic ego play. I am by no means a really good player and dont play enough to really climb but was masters at that time, and when I backed the sup up he was like "yeah maybe it was an ok call just unlucky" just because I was higher Elo then while saying the very same thing the low elo player said. So yeah if you achieved your elo because you have high apm and are an OTP who climbed because you are insanely good at 1 char be open to advice even from lower elo players. Of course you should still be critical of it (which you should still with same or higher elo people as well btw.) but what they say wont necessarily be wrong.
