I would definitely recommend avoiding anything that you apply to your body, cook with or ingest from a direct from China site, of any kind, so I’m with your editor on that one. They’re great for fun USB gadgets and kidult toys, though.

Well yea and no, when an intermediate store or big site is involved you kinda hope they have standards and do their own quality checks, certainly there will be aftercare, but when you buy direct you are taking a much bigger chance for a cheaper product, so extra care needed, buyers beware!

I already learned from first hand experience to never buy really cheap lights.: A few years ago I bought these circular multicolored LED lights. Temu didn't exist yet so these cheap lights were from a store called "Ollie's". They worked fine for a month but little did I know, the cheap, crappy, Chinese batteries in all five lights would have a catastrophic breakdown, and then they all started acting weird so I took a look at the batteries in case they were bad. THEY WERE REAL BAD! They leaked so severely that the connection probes were actually corroded on all of them and completely rendered them unusable. Never again. However if I ever do, I'm using my own batteries from now on.

I love Temu, you get what you see advertised 70% of the time, sometimes really great quality stuff for a fraction of the price and anyone that turns up laughably bad you can return for free easily, I've gotten loads of my tech, cables etc for my desk from there.

It is actually surprisingly good quality 😂 i bought a charger for the phone made for the car there, with 2 usb-c and 2 usb-A with fast charging usb-c and it has held up for over 1,5 year now and works perfect, and I can actually charge my phone, the regular chargers for the car usally give me like 10% an hour😅 have bought a bunch of other stuff as well but

I LOVE Temu, so much crap you never knew you needed! And it's all free shipping and it usually gets here to the UK in about 7-10 days. My favourite thing is when you buy something and when it arrives, its tiny (my own fault for not reading the actual size in the ad) $40 on Temu is like buying a Farrari !!

So about 5 weeks ago I go on temu and right away I get 99% off my first choice then on my 2nd I get 90 well this goes down to 70%. But you had to pick from a page they made but don't worry there are tons of stuff. I got a 200. Dollar RC tank track car . When everything was done I owed 19.58 I saved over 400.00. it was great I got everything my drones were so much fun my rc also was great.. I have been using temu now for a year I love them

Temu is thieves. If buy something cheap and bad quality, they return money easily, but for expensive items Temu doesn't return the money, playing a time game. Postal workers said Temu never refunded bikes, and Temu will find many reasons to avoid refunds. I sent the bike back, and due to a bad label, it's hanging over somewhere. Temu said they would not refund. Trying to do a chargeback and a small court, is the only way.
