i think that the humidifier didnt firstly work becaus a lot of those cheaper ones use cotton tube or idk gow they are called so you need to wait for the water to get sucked into the cotton and then it can work. idk if you wanna try it

The rgb floor light could be spruced up with a plant pot. Find a good looking plastic plant pot that covers the feet and just drill a hole in the bottom that's the same size as the tube and slide it over to cover the feet. This will block some of the leds but you could cut the pot down or use something as a platform to raise the light. This would make it look quite a bit better for not too much.
