Marshall’s is my best kept secret as well as TJMAXX. I’ve gotten hundreds of dollars worth of makeup for a fraction of the price. NARS, Benefit, Too Faced, Urban Decay, MAC, Buxom, Smashbox, glossier, KVD beauty… love it there! And so exciting and never know what you’ll find!!!

I don't typically get worried about the quality from the brand, but have to question how long they sat in an non-temperature controlled truck/warehouse before making it to the store. All the dryness an d separation you mentioned doesn't allay those fears. That Stila powder was great.

Oh my gosh the part around 14:21-14:24 where the voice effect happened definitely just scared the daylights out of me as I’m here at work with no one around me with my headphone in and I hear that😂😂. GIRRRRLLLLL, if I listened to the expiration date I’d have like no make up. I’ve always used “expired” make up and it always works just like new and never had anything bad happen to me. In my opinion, that’s date is bullcrap🤷🏼‍♀️😅

I think it definitely depends on the makeup brand, and how old it really is. Obviously if ots three years old and has a smell to it you shouldnt use ot but if it seems in perfect condition, use it. Makeup is expensive and I havent had anything bad happen to me either. I feel like the products to be the most careful with expiration wise would be foundation and concealer.

i literal only throw out makeup if it’s like separating or smells bad or is SUPER old. and that’s really only liquids or eyeliner/mascara/lip glosses. powders though? ive had for years and i refuse to throw out my expensive shadow palettes lol

I think items like eyeshadows, blushes, highlighters are fine way past the date. Foundations start to separate and not work as intended

The date isn't bs. It can cause rashes and breakouts. Chemicals have expiration dates too, just because something hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it doesn't happen in general.

I have the Moon Prism Blush, and OMG I have never had a single blush, let alone an entire palette work so perfectly on my weird skintone. They're so pretty! I also use one of the highlighters as a super bronzey eyeshadow(applied damp) or a hint of sparkle gently dusted over the blush.

Your reaction to the shimmery powder under your eyes was my reaction to the Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin concealer. Radiant finish my a$$, there’s effing glitter in it. My 43 year old under eyes aren’t made for shimmery concealers hiding behind the radiant finish description. I couldn’t figure out why I was suddenly getting fallout from eyeshadow that never did that before. Much to my surprise, it took me a month, but I finally realized it was that damn concealer.

As a TjMaxx associate, yes, a lot of the products, like creams are most likely expired especially if you are looking in clearance which was probably put on the shelf over 3 months ago. I would stick with the skincare and powder products. NOT saying all creams and other products are expired but I would guess a lot are.
