Back in the late 90s I got into selling Hotwheels and diecast cars. Only NASCAR stuff that really sold good was Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon. I actually felt sorry for the people who spent money on that stuff cause they thought the value was going to keep going up and up but unfortunately NASCAR died with Earnhardt.

@@christopheristhebest3292 NASCAR didn't die immediately after Earnhardt's accident because there was a rush to buy his merchandise. I noticed after 911 that the "Collectable Market" started a downhill slide. Again it wasn't immediate but every year after it got worse and worse. I stopped selling toys in 2005. I just sat on my merchandise instead of selling off in bulk for a loss like a lot of dealers did. Started selling again around 2012 at car shows and swap meets. The flea markets in my area never came back to the glory days of the 90s in fact most closed for or downsized to smaller buildings.

He said he had them all except that one and he really wanted to read it, lies because I heard him talking to his friend and they were resellers. Some said yes but they didn't know exactly were it was and he said if they could please go inside and look for it because he really wanted it. Most said no because they couldn't leave their stuff unattended. He kept begging and it got very annoying. Finally a seller asked his daughter if she wanted to sell her copy and she said yes. He got very happy and once he got the book in his hands he said will you take $0.50 the mom said no I at least need a $1 for it and he handed the 2 quarters to her little boy and said thanks and just walked away. Needless to say they were not happy at all. We couldn't believe that he made them go through all that trouble of finding the book and didn't even want to pay $1

Hi watch all your videos but have not commented before. I’m in the business have one of the largest 2nd hand businesses in Ireland for over a decade so no the game well. If I was to give you one tip to maximize your income is to ask every seller you meet if they have any gold or jewellery for sale. Fairly easy to learn but the upside is big, it’s small easy to post and you can get some big wins. Just my 2 cents but great Chanel and love your work obviously :)

Thanks for sharing, can you point me in the right direction to learn some useful info, perhaps on youtube?
@PeopleAdverts5 жыл бұрын
I’m sure there is lots of KZbin videos but don’t know any specific. You need a 40 times Jewellers loop, a diamond tester a magnet and set of scales. learn the price of gold and offer people 60% of the scrap gold price you can go up 10-20 % if they dicker and there is still guaranteed profit. You get more money for scrap gold just selling it on eBay rather than selling it locally. Although local is quick. Big stones are the fashion at the moment so sapphires, rubies and Emeralds are the most popular. Diamonds just be careful with due to lab grown stones. Lots of nice semi precious jewellery brings good money too. When I was dealing at first I never touched jewellery but it’s 60% of our business now. Men’s rings always popular and when you start buying jewellery watches etc come your way also.

In the early 2000’s these were hot. They sold new for 59-89 per car. The market for them tanked a few years ago but you should still make money on them. Obviously if most are Sr, Jr and Harvick you got decent ones. Special cars from Sr that fetch good prices are the Peter Max car, red Tasmanian Devil car, Silver car and several more. Special Jr cars are the MLB Allstar care from 2001. Harvick has a couple good ones but I haven’t checked the prices on them in a long time. I sold my collection in 2010 which was 120 cars for 2500.

Did you look at completed sales? Dale and Dale Jr seem to be the lowest priced ones. Way better than $6.00 but not $25 or even $20 for that matter but I'm not sure what brands you've got though. Good luck with them!

It’s best to sell everything as a lot. The collectors will cherry pick through them otherwise and the seller will get stuck with the common ones that people don’t want. You could spend years trying to get rid of all of them.

This is the risk people make when you have a garage sale. Lost comes with the territory. Garage sales are for people that need money NOT want money. Peace.

Exactly they need cash today, otherwise they would use Ebay.

So that's where you got all them, I looked on your eBay and there were countless collectible race cars. I was curious. :)
