Congrats and welcome to the M4 club! I also bought an M4 (also first M camera) few months ago that I snatched from B&H. I also deliberated and researched Leica M for a year and settled with the M4 since it’s more affordable and I didn’t want a light meter (one less thing to break) and sunny 16 works great for me. I have the Voigtlander 35mm Nokton Classic and love it. M4 is a fantastic camera and it’s the best decision I made. Looking forward to seeing your first shots!

Sick bro congrats on yours as well. It's such a gangster camera man. Beautiful to look at, amazing to shoot with. What more could one ask for?

Congrats on the Leica! Just a couple small tips to get you leica looking better. The small piece of black leatheret that is missing can easily be patched with Sugru Mouldable Black Glue. I used the Sugru on a Leica M5 that I had and it worked great on patching those small areas, you could not even tell once it was done. Also the rusted srew on the flash shoe can be unscrewed and lightly sanded and it will look as good as new. Oh, and the Sugru Black glue can be found at Target, Walmart and Amazon.

Congrats on the M4. I bought the same last year to hold my 28 Elmarit as well, by the way mine was also produced in 1970. I recently looked at upgrading to the MA, held them in each hand, compared viewfinders, tried them both with the Elmarit and concluded the difference was very minimal so I kept my M4! In fact all Leica M film cameras are great! You won't tire of pressing that shutter...:)
@xhynetuseinovski4 ай бұрын
No way that's awesome. The elmarit makes this camera setup sooo compact it's unreal. You should still get an MA though, that matte black finish on the top plate is just too nice.

@@xhynetuseinovski I prefer the black chrome M4 TBH, doesn't finger print like the MA finish...😃

ooooh, so jealous! Looks amazing!! Congrats!! I have way too many cameras but options for film are never too many. I can't justify it with my Rolleiflex, Pentax 67, and the list goes on but.....would love the rangefinder experience in a Leica. For now my Rollei 35S keeps me from buying it. (Juliette - changed my YT handle here).

You’ve definitely got a solid film setup for sure! First roll video will be coming in a week or so :)

Congrats on the leica!! If you’re near Anaheim/ orange area I can’t recommend rewind film lab enough it’s just off the 57 freeway after passing the angels stadium and I do the same thing as you where i develop at a lab and scan myself and rewinds turnaround time for develop only is same or next day for color and 2-3 days for b&w also it’s 8 dollars for develop only and their film prices are so low i genuinely can’t recommend them enough!!

I've watched countless Leica videos. I own Canon VT Deluxe rangefinders from the late 50s. If I had endless resources, I would get the M4 and the MP. The best from Leica in my opinion.(I owned a Leica M3 double stroke with a 35mm f1.4 Summilux. Sold it to get a 6x17 format camera).

Homie, you should've gone with the m4p it has 28 35 50 90 135 and 75mm frame lines. it doesn't have a light meter, but that's closer to an m6 without paying m6 money. I have the M4p. I was gonna get an m6, but if the light meter fails, I would've basically have an m4p

highly considered it but still was over 2K for a nicely kept one. i wanted something less than 2K and was willing to make some sacrifices. thanks for watching bro.

I just bought an M4 myself. It's nice, made sure to get one that was already scratched up so I wouldn't be a bitch about it getting scuffed.
