Maybe try the shadows with a more dry or sticky eye shadow primer. For $12 and an innovative formula it might deserve a second chance with a proper primer. Age rewind is a more moisturizing product which might not work so great with the eye formula.

I watched this video this morning, went to Walmart today for some groceries, and they had the Neutrogena cream highlighter. I bought it on a whim, tried it, and I think this has ruined me for all other highlighters (cream, liquid, powder, esp creams and liquids). I've been struggling to find a cream/liquid highlighter that DOESN'T dry down to a powdery finish nor emphasizes any texture; my skin can't handle that right now. This winter my skin is the driest it's ever been, and I LOOOOVED this highlighter! This feels creamy and seems to STAY creamy without being greasy on my skin and doesn't over emphasize any texture. THANK YOU for the recommendation!!! I love your drugstore videos!!!

Went to Walmart this week and they had the Physicians Formula butter bronzers on display including the new ones. Couldn't resist since they are more affordable there. Also, after you reviewed the Burts Bees lipsticks went ahead and got three shades. They offer such pretty spring shades and feel glossy and moisturizing. Thanks for reviewing and suggesting these as well. Makeup can be overwhelming when you want something specific but the variety and options available are too much. Your suggestions help a lot.

Allie, I used a couple of Clarins lip oils and they only lasted around an hour. I love lip oils!! They condition the lips so fast! But I can’t keep paying $24 for them so I try lip oils in different drugstore brands. The ELF ones are pretty good too. I can’t wait to try the Milani glow product.

I go to Walmart to look for Allie-Approved products from time to time. I went looking for Flower Beauty liquid cheek products but didn't find any 😭. I go to CVS at least twice a month, looking for Allie-Approved makeup. I got the NYX $16.99 Angel Veil primer for $1.75 after coupons! I got the Physician's Formula healthy foundation for $.07!! I'm going back (when I have enough coupons and extra care bucks) to look for the Wet n Wild Cabana powder, the coconut water primer, and the Maybelline City Bronzer. I've gotten all my Milani makeup from CVS.

The trick to using the CVS coupons is to decide what you want, then buy only a couple of the items that day, then come back the next day and buy the other things from coupons they gave you the day before! They ALWAYS crank out extra buck coupons and specials “deals” that expire pretty quick after you get them ... so come back tomorrow and buy with them what you were going to get anyway! AND ... BE SURE you have the CVS card ... that’s how you get the HUGE extra bucks discounts on ALL beauty products regardless of what brand you want on top of the brand-specific coupons! 😊👍🏻

Hi Allie, I have the Milani soft focus glow to replace my L’Oréal lumi glotion (which I’ve seen you use too!). I use both to mix into my foundation because I like lighter, glowy coverage. I’m switching to the Milani because the ingredients seem more luxurious and you get more product for cheaper price! Happy to see that you like the Milani!

Earlier this week, I picked up the Milani Soft Focus so I’m excited you like it so much. Great ingredients! I also got the L’Oréal True Match Lumi makeup with sunscreen; haven’t tried it yet. L’Oréal Glotion is something I love for quick coverage and illumination. Have you ever tried that?

I love Neutrogean tinted moisturizer for the summertime for a low maintenance and light weight look because when I wear foundation in the summertime it melts off quickly because its heavy. The tinted moisturizer stays better.

I have too and have had mine for over 6 months trying to find ways to use it so it wasn't a waste and what I found works for me is using a vitamin E or Argon oil lightly on my lids and undereye (where I use the age rewind) and that really seems to help

I just picked up that exact same ELF palette at TJMAXX yesterday for $4.99- not impressed at all- glad it was only $4.99. While at TJMaxx I also picked up some Bare Minerals Bareskin serum foundation and really liked it. I found it to be light, but buildable coverage that completely did NOT sit in my pores- have you ever tried it?🤔

I really liked the eye look until it creased. I hope you play with it a little more to see if you can figure out how to apply it so it will not crease. The colors are interesting and fun. Certain eyeshadows are always going to crease, especially creamier shadows, because I’ve noticed you won’t use eye primer! I have really hooded eyes and pretty much ANY shadow creases on me if I don’t use eye primer, ESPECIALLY as I’ve gotten older! Concealer just doesn’t cut it in comparison (and the older you are, the less you want cakey concealer on your eyes). Can’t go wrong with the Milani eye primer, which I know you’ve tried before, but trust me when I say that the more you age, the bigger difference you’re going to see between how primer out-performs concealer by a country mile when it comes to shadows! I know this wasn’t your favorite eye look, but your eyes looked absolutely gorgeous through the lens, especially that gold underneath! Your artistry is always so inspiring!

Would you say the smoothing on the Milano soft focus glow compares to the nyx angel veil primer?

In my opinion, it's not rh same. The Milani product is more of a melting smooth, a wet smooth, like it dissolves from a thicker cream texture into a waterlike texture with smoothness. I find the texture similar to the Pixi H2O skin tint, if you are familiar with that. It is not the same velvety soft smooth texture of the NYX Angel Veil, in my opinion.
