a good paint that comes in black is the flame/fire retardant paint that you should 1000000% paint over that foam. The foam is very flammable and code usually requires exposed foam to be painted with the product. The prior owners didn't get that done. Might not be code where you are, but still a smart idea for fire safety and to save your projects and life if you're inside. Foam will go up in flames fast and probably knock you out before you can escape.

Congrats on the shop/house. That is really dope. There are companies that will spray pet friendly chemicals that will stop the bugs/spiders from getting in your shop. I was skeptical at first, but it actually works really freaking well. I enjoy the shop update videos and the cars.

I’m still testing it out to see how it goes before I really see any improvement. Waiting for them to come out a couple times rather than being quick to judge. I like how they’re pet friendly tho! I actually started spraying white vinegar and it’s worked TREMENDOUSLY!!

Just a tip when that receiver is hooked up set the speaker levels and subwoofer level in your receiver all the way up so your master volume can be low at night I learned that when I bought my receivers in my house it sounds awesome

You mentioned shaving the insulation for looks but you could cover it all with sheets of rigid foam and secure with trim boards-then you could mount any lighting you’re adding to the trim. Just an idea as I look at my shop that’s still unfinished inside 😂

I thought about finishing it but it would be more difficult to do the part of the garage that doesn’t have a second level. I’m way too unstable to be on those tall ladders 😂 plus the ceiling height is already very very low, and closing it in rather than the open beam look would make it feel even lower. Played around with some ideas, but yall will see the finished look in the next video!

Cool place, but I saw a neighbor very close to the garage. That may be fine for a while, but I can see issues in your future. When buying a place like that neighbors and future zoning will crush your dreams. Not trying to be negative, I post things that may keep those who read them from making big mistakes. Just know that neighbors will not be friendly for long if you're making noise. And know that zoning can change at any time and shut you down. Best of luck, I hope it's all you want it to be.
