I have that exact same one myself- Ultraburst with rosewood neck, etc. Got it over a year ago, and it was one of the few to get into Canada. It truly is a wonderful guitar! Actually, I changed the strings right away to Ernie Ball (009-042) and it felt even better. I also love how you can adjust the tension of the whammy bar (by pressing down far enough so that the tiny Allen key fits into the recess at the back of the bridge), therefore it can be as loose or as tight as you like, without drooping, unless you want it to. I like it loose, but not falling, so that I can easily just push it away if I'm not using it. I've never had a Strat whammy bar that you could fine tune so beautifully! I also love that you can make it sound like a regular Stratocaster in the bridge pickup and bridge/middle pickup positions by pushing in the volume knob, thereby turning off the black bridge pickup (of the hummbucker configuration) turning it into a single coil. And, of course, with the centre of the volume knob back out, you can then get a heavy Gibson hummbucker/Strat vibe, so in a way it's like having two guitars. But that's not all!!... The guitar is designed in a way so that you don't lose any of the high-end, or other frequencies, when you turn the volume knob down, as with other Stratocasters and most other electric guitars! So, if you're using some distortion, you get a decent 'clean' sound by turning your volume way down, without necessarily always having to use a foot switch to switch channels! Anyway, I could go on and on, but let me just say it's the best guitar I've ever owned!

This is the way a Fender guitar should be appreciated! Watch videos on how to use that red handle wrench to adjust the truss rod. The truss rod affects how much bow (relief)will be in the neck.

I wanted to order one of these in that exact color/fretboard combo, but Fender said I'd need to wait til December - of 2023! (1.5yrs from my typing this). Maybe by the time Fender catches up with demand, they'll be building these with stainless frets. I've wanted an Ultra but with a 'Hot Rod Red' body & maple neck, but their Mod Shop only allows the old chunky neck ridge. No Ultra contours/cuts on the body. For these prices, while I'd still prefer to go with Fender USA, I'm considering getting something from Paoletti or getting one built by Voodoo guitars. I'll wait ~6 months, but 1.5 yrs? Fender needs to invest in more factory space rather than shipping more jobs to Mexico.

So I have the same specs for just 900 bucks in the Fender deluxe strat made in mexico. 22 frets, contoured heel, locking tuners, tremolo with clip-on arm, push pull and moiseless pups. So i think you paid a little too much here, because the deluxe strat MIM totally inspires me.

Has anyone had trouble with pick up # 1 in a 6months old Fender American Ultra Stratocaster - Ultraburst? The problem comes and go. Took it to 4 places but the problem doesn't come when I take them... only in one of them and they put some sort of spray. One of the places opened it and found nothing wrong with cables or anything else. So weird. I appreciate your input in this problem. Thanks!
