Definitely make sure that the surveyor sets the corners if they aren’t monuments already, sometimes it’s a separate fee, but worth it! Across the board, the surveying profession has been super busy. Proud for you two. My wife and I began our journey 40 years ago and we have been power sports junkies throughout our life. Now we enjoy our property with our grandkids with dirt bikes, ATVs, etc. we own 26 acres and I wish it was 5000 acres! Don’t get discouraged by cranky neighbors. Everyone has to deal with them! What we have learned is that most people are miserable and hate watching people have fun! Ignore them if you can but continue to enjoy your land. They will hate you for it but they will just have to deal with! Buy any land that is connected to your property if it comes available. You are young and you will outlive your neighbor, ha!

Don’t worry too much about your neighbors, he was somewhat cordial for someone approaching a group of twenty somethings he though was trespassing. Especially if he was in the middle of hunting lol. Something you will learn very quickly, now that you own a decent amount of land, it is amazing what people think they are allowed to do on other peoples property. Your neighbors may have a long history of people not only trespassing, but destroying or stealing thing, mistreating the wildlife, etc. My family’s farm has dealt with fishermen not releasing their catch, four wheelers and bikes breaking irrigation pipes or ruining planted fields, riding around very late at night and the neighbors would think it’s us yet we could not stop the ones doing it. My family love to play hard too, and welcomes people to play on our land and most of the time they all respect that it is not their land. It’s the few bad eggs that tend to mess it for others. Years ago we had start giving all the good people hand written notes saying they have permission to be on the farm from one of the family members because it was getting so bad. Anyway, I went on a tangent there. I could totally see that guy being an HD fan who love micro racing and will help you build a track! 😜

Chase- Here are the laundry essentials: Empty the lint trap in the dryer after each use. Towels take forever to dry, so it works best to dry them on their own on high heat. Pay attention when buying detergent and don't use bleach for colors (sometimes detergent has added bleach). Wash delicates on their own and on "delicates" setting (some washing machines tend to tear them up on the "regular" setting, especially top-loading machines with the prong in the middle) and the elastic on the delicates will last a lot longer if you hang dry them as opposed to putting them in the dryer. The last thing, is I know this may seem counter-intuitive, but don't use too much soap. Liquid laundry detergent is very concentrated and a little is designed to go a long way, so use the recommended dose. Using too much soap can damage the machine over time. Have fun! LOL

When I saw this video I just laughed my $$$ off thinking about that guy who approached yawl in the woods. When he said that was his land and then proceeded to show you the map and it was your land was hilarious. But the best part was when he said he hunted that land, I could not help but think of the Cam Am, and Pit Bikes, and then your comment of that guys not going to like us. Boy was he in for a surprise. You guys keep having fun and be careful doing what you love. Life is to short not to have fun and enjoy it. I spent most of mine dangling from a rescue chopper, running into burning buildings, chasing immigrants, to being shot at on the streets, and fighting in the jail. And now i just chase little green back fish trying to cash a check and gather a trophy. See ya on Norman one day, I'm sure just having fun. Hang Loose guys and always reach for the stars.

Listings only use the square footage above grade..basements either full or walkout aren't included..get a full survey and have real monuments..not PVC or phone apps

U guys could also finish the down stairs so it had a washroom laundry room a small kitchen another bedroom or two and rent out the downstairs to some friends or family. Idk I just think that would be a good idea. But anyways congrats on the new house and best of wishes

Looks awesome, can’t wait to see how rowdy you get! Make sure to make as much noise as possible with that Micro.

Make sure your the surveyors puts in as many lot line stakes as it takes so as to always have a line of sight to where your boundary line is.
