@@ImHardToUnderstand hard part is the battery of a ps vita fat is very bad, and the ps vita slim just quit the OLED display for a LCD and some little storage, i think the fat version with a modded battery is the best shot, also use it with a sd2vita to get the things done, and if you can mod the charger to can use a USB-C cable it can be a game changer, because the cable for ps vita fat is a propietary one of sony, there is the video here in youtube, you can also mod the sticks of the ps vita to use joycon sticks, that are mostly the same, but you can use hall effect joysticks of joycons to have a better experience and durability, aaand i think only that, the ps vita is a very japanese handheld, specially it can run psx, psp, and ps vita games so it is pretty good, just mod the things i mentioned and you will be fine.

​@@YewfNet just letting you know that it's recommend 128gb as the max because anything higher than that can cause problems. My card doesn't have that much, but with 128gb you could have basically everything. You can fit a hundred psp games and what's left for emulators

​@@YewfNet I would recommend not going over 128GB in storage, as it takes quite a while to load with just that. If 128 isn't enough, I'd say get multiple 128GB cards. Some cards don't even register & they tend to be the bigger ones.

nah im PSP bias anyways, its whati used for about 7 years before i built a PC. the PSP freezes because its accessing the memory stick for a bit, it can chug for a bit.

i acquired a few PSPs, PS3s, VITAs after i got enough money to buy them since the pandemic. i got every model of them! i didn't have them when they were hot but i still felt nostalgic when i got them. all were bought very cheap in the 2nd hand market and some bought as "defective" that i fixed. my OLED Vita and PSP street are my favorites.

Got pushed this by the algorithm, Glad to hear another person getting deep into Retro gaming. I was always more into the DS as a kid as there were more games I was interested in but I was floored what was basically a PS2 was even possible with how much junk tech was floating around back then.

Nice video! 👍🏻, I had a PSP when I was on Highschool i used it mostly as and MP3 player and took it everywhere and used to watch Saved Anime shows and music videos on it when I went on family vacations. Our Tech has definitely come a long way but I do miss this nostalgia of My old PSP. I still have it by the way but it stopped working awhile back and when that happened I switched over to my PSP GO. Smaller and compact used that thing forever up until I got my first smart phone. Anyway thank you for making this awesome video! Very nostalgic 👍🏻☺️

The PSP is such a gateway to so many different hobbies. For me personally, the PSP got me way more into retro games, console modding, and I'd even give it partial credit for getting me into PCs and IT, which I work in now. Such a powerful piece of technology for the day, and still one of my favorite devices, gaming or otherwise, to this day.

I bought a PSP in 2011 for just one purpose, and that was to play *Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.* And it was the only game I needed for it! Put in several hundred hours and still have it in my cupboard! Good times. Handhelds will always hold a special place in my heart.

Ridge Racer. Trust me. I don't even like racing games but the PSP version of Ridge Racer is the best version of all the RR series and one of my favorite games of all time. Plus it has a distinct vibe to it that I'm sure the aesthetics wiki has a name for. I just don't know what it is because I'm old. But if puzzle game are more your thing, Lumines has to be one of the best ever. I have spent hours just dropping blocks endlessly. Again, same thing with the distinct vibes.

I still have my silver PSP-2000 (2nd gen refresh), I originally bought it over 20 years ago and it still works (even the battery). I'm sad to not see you jamming some actual PSP games, there a lot of great games for the PSP, you should check out the catalog. It's super easy to get the "eboots" and get them on the device. Have fun with this little beast!

I can relate with your experience in Retro gaming for me I was very late to the party for Sega Dreamcast back in 2019 but perfect timing nonetheless considering it turned 25 years. The only game I have were MK4 Gold, Resident Evil code Veronica, Jet Set Radio, Virtua Fighter 3 TB, and Crazy Taxi I can say that it's okay to look back and enjoyed any kind of Retro gaming in general.

The PSP won the 7th gen handheld war in my country, so every kid I knew, including me, had one from 2008-2012. I loved this little guy, it got me into retro gaming and JRPGs, as well as into jailbreaking tech. Still probably the best handheld I ever owned, with 3ds being a very close second.

The PSP/PSVita were my favorite handhelds growing up. The ability to play PS1 games on the go was so cool as a kid. And it’s how I played Resident Evil for the first time :0 Also the Dragon Ball Z games were fun on them! Great video :)

I still give my PSP a spin form time to time. It was such a great experience to gather with friends after school to play GTA online. I still don't understand how we were able to play online (local play probably), but it was simply magical. I hope you have lots of fun with your very pink PSP!

I highly recommend the retro handheld route! As psp and vita owner its fun tinkering with the homebrew that's available, but handhelds fully designed for emulation generally have way more options that tend to run a lot smoother, and these days there's tons of different form factors to choose from. Anyway, I subscribed to see where this channel goes, keep up the great work!

I got one of my own for the first time in 2024 as well! Always was jealous of them as I grew up with the DS, and seeing how badass the PSP was as a kid really left a strong impression on me. It's such a damn cool little thing, as you said the emulation capabilities are wicked neat, which I plan on doing to mine in the future. For now though I've got a hell of a big PSP library left to go through, highly recommend Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep and FF7: Crisis Core, both bangers

I recently got into PSP hacking too after my roommate was getting of his old Assassin's Creed one. I also grabbed Summon Night Sword Craft story! found this on my recommended page, and I honestly love your video style! the entire aesthetic of your channel is just so comfy! also nice video too, I plan on picking up a PSP at some point for the same resson you got yours for, which is emulation purposes. plus, it's got Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, which is one of my favourite games in the series. I played the remaster on ps3/4 in the 2.5 ReMix, but I'd love to play it on an actual PSP at some point. I currently have a modded 3DS LL that I play games on, which is fine probably, but it's a little big for retro emulation, and the dual screens are a little distracting.
