Nice bike, you need a little tool bag that attatches to the frame for your tube and tools just in case you get a puncher while your out it's horrible having a long walk back pushing something you should be ridding.

Just buy a decent GT mountain bike unless you’re looking for a electric bike! They are good quality parts and shouldn’t be more than 600 max or buy a treck is a good bike don’t spend more than 500.00

My concerns are the safety of riding there in Thailand. I can honestly say the roadways there are so tame compared to the madness in the Philippines. Thanks for showing us that having a pushy is a transportation option. I would suggest a helmet, it is the same as a motorbike. Cranium protection is a must, or as my dad would say you have to protect that watermelon on your shoulders hahaha.

I think more people should consider buying and using bicycles in your area. I used to rent a bicycle while on holiday in Jomtien but now can not find anyone renting anything decent. Personally, I would probably stay with the schrader valve stems just to have the commonality with automotive and associated access to inflation sources.

Great Stuff Jason! I cycle every morning in the hills around Patong - Love it, always feel like I've done something worthwhile fitness wise! Nice to have a swim after - all adds up to a total workout😉 And will balance out those big nights you'll have out on the 'Six' or in my case Bangla🤣 BTW - Giant is a Taiwanese brand - Taiwan builds some of the best bike frames in the world,always has! You are right many bike frames are now made in China, including top end ones used in The Tour of France.Shimano is a Japanese brand and much of its stuff is still made there😉 Enjoy your new Treadlie🎉

Fair play will get you fit if you keep it up. The downside to pushbikes can be punctures. In the UK you can fill your tubes with a green slime that self-seals the puncture. Do they have it there?

I like the bike colors! Looks neat!. With the way the world is these days (at least in the US), i don't think i'd want to be young again. I wouldn't mind going back to 40. I spent basically all my 40's taking care of mom and as bad as it sounds, i would love to have that time back. Basically 9 years gone. It is a lot to "lose". Put tyre sealant in tubes. Stops punctures. Also look into hub motor conversion kits, the shop can fit to make ebike. I do myself in UK, cheap easy way.

Took my fold up bike that i bought via baht and sold in pattaya for a service to S V! Great shop! Loved the cycling around bake streets (soi's) of pattaya. Folded it up an took it to jomtien on the baht bus👍 👍took a little while to get used to riding again but took me places i couldnt walk to. Again loved it!

You did it, well done mate.. be sure to look up the jomtien/pattaya cycling clubs, great social thing, great way to get fit and see more of the place you live in, just be sure to give yourself a lesson on fixing a puncture if it has been a minute since you were last on.. but again great stuff , you said you would and you did - Do consider wearing a helmet mate, your life is worth more than trusting the Thai scooter drivers...I think once you get into a routine your place to the Pattaya sign is about 12 km, little cafe for breakfast and ride home, seems a lovely way to start the day
