Great video! I lived/worked in the Appleton/Neenah area for about 2 years, and I would have to say that shopping in that area for resale (thrifts, store, Once Upon and Platos, garage/rummage/yard sales) was one of the best I have found in the US. Really miss the area - not only for resale stuff, but it is one of the most underestimated places to live in the US. Good people, great food (Machine shed - great stuff!; Milwaukee Burger - crazy huge burger challenge), best supermarket in the country (Woodmans) - and being back home for now - really miss Culvers/Toms! Good luck hunting out there!

On-line is putting them all out of business! Kinda sucks! Gotta wonder - will there be malls 10-15 years from now??
@ikmalizzatjohari64755 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure they will, but only the new ones. Most old ones are close to closing. In my place the only reason a very old mall is there because there's a 15 floor office on top. The only people who sells there now are specialty shops (tailors, very expensive sports centre, gym, a very good and cheap electronic repair shop, handmade leather shoes, etc). Kinda think because the rent is cheap. No one really goes there unless for the shops as above
@b-man12325 жыл бұрын

Malls are going to be around for a long time to come, however, _indoor_ malls are a dying species as they cost a fortune to build and operate. Outdoor malls are far more cost effective, so that is where developers are investing their money these days. Online retail has shifted the market considerably, but the convenience of physical retail is still in high demand.
