Washi tapes basically are a type of masking tape. I like to use mine for dividing days in my journal, decorating cards, and taping up packages (especially if using brown paper).

The problem with mystery boxes is the constant suspicion that they are used to get rid of stuff that isn't selling. Like a pen case with a CAMO (?) interior. Fortunate you for getting a pen which you really like.

I kept wondering how much you were dinged between the exchange and the duty if the initial cost was $159.00 USD.(Not that I am going to buy from a U.S. retailer now!) I think the logo on the pen case might be Clairefontaine. The Oscar Wilde Star Child tape - I think either Montblanc or Colorverse has ink by those names.

I prepaid $10USD so I had no custom fees after it shipped. So in CAD it was $14…customs is usually at least $30 so I think it was worth it (I also bought another pen so my actual total was over 200)

That was fun to watch. I'm often tempted by mystery boxes, but I'm just too fussy about color and everything else to get my money's worth. They can easily become a way for retailers to dump products that aren't selling. It's smart of Pen Chalet to ask for a nib width preference though.
