I Bought Revox A77 MK-IV - Almost New. Perfect State and Listening Test - 2022

It's my first this reel to reel. I had seen it when I was little. Until today, it's never too late. I bought Revox A77 MK-IV as new and in good condition, no problem and everything working. This is worth seeing. Thanks

8:38 - You have the tape threaded incorrectly. The tape should go under the large silver tape guide, not over it. You could damage your tape; the tension is not right! I was working with these same model machines in the late 70s in a broadcast environment.

hi it's a lotto when you get a decks i had it from 1989 now it needs work picked up a teac 44 a tank works great picked up a 80-8 it's been on along time running the capstan pulley has alot of wear i spy it when i was up date to iec stocket leads are a right pain i have 2 like this alot of very heavy where and the case's are bad so i got 80 dj set up and made on new case for the 2 decks

My friend, your tape is supposed to touch both bearings on sides 😂 you do it wrong way like this, you'll destroy your tapes. Check manual ✌️ amazing machine, I have like new Revox B77

Máquina vem versão rara caixa preta com tampa transportadora como portátil. E é original. Sim vem incluído 2 speakers stereo. Maioria revox caixa castanho. Obrigado

it's ok, just remenber : NEVER use smaller reel then 18 cm! and never disturb tape high adjustment

Good morning, yes indeed; these machines (A77,B77,PR99) do not have tape tension regulation (which partly explains their incredible reliability); the torque of the motors has been optimised for optimum tape tension only for 27 cm reels; any other diameter increases the wow and flutter and exaggerates the tape tension; the height of the tape is determined by the copper guide on the right of the repro head: never adjust this. If this is adjusted, the heads will suffer enormous wear. (unless the heads are new) only the azimuth of the heads can be adjusted. @@elisiocliopt
