The Mustang fox body's are huge in the in the street racing scene for a reason. As a die-hard bowtie guy, I still have to respect the success these little cars have brought to the Ford guys. Yeah if you wanna compete you gotta buy one. I have seen tracks were foxbody cars where banned. A gutted notch is basically a engine with a seat they're so lightweight. A roller foxbody and a H/C/I 5.3 can do nasty things together.

As another bow tie guy gotta agree with you, as being a mechanic by trade I’ve own other types and models other than GM and a few Fords in mainly old school street rods which I installed Chevys in, however Ford and Dodge have come a long way in technology and these little mustangs are a killer car especially for someone breaking into street racing, as power to weight ratio are hard to beat, and this car Bill bought will clean up and make a great give away no matter what brand you like in your heart, still appreciate a nice car👍🏼

My old man almost sold his 70 monte all original bought for 200 bucks back in the 80s now it’s a family thing that will fortunately never leave but to this day I compare my old mans love for his car to me and he almost parted ways with it to keep me in his life. Hey Bill you guys gotta cross that border to come and race. The city on the 🇨🇦 side of the Falls is also Niagara Falls, Montreal is 6 hours east of there. There is a track about 1 hour from Niagara Falls that does no prep and back of the track events, you guys should come up and check the OSO events that they put on!! Love the content!

This was my dream car in high school! My uncle had a 90’ white GT and that was the car I drove to get my license . I know you hate it but damn I love that car!!!! im a ford guy but i like anything that is fast. im a mechanic so ive worked on almost everything under the sun. ive owned alot of mustangs my wife has a 2010 GT 5 speed and i have a 94 cobra 5.0 that ive been trying to get back up and running again. so seeing yall play with these cars has lit a fire in me to get back to enjoying my car with my kids! its tough tho because i broke my back 6 years ago so its hard to work to get the extra money to spend on the parts i need. but im glad to see some ford power car content

Bill, I was gonna say I bought my C1500 front tires for skinnies based on the ones you bought…in doing so, I found that they had a 205/75 vs your 205/70 in the Toyo. So, you can go from a 26.3” front tire to a 27.11” front tire and get that front end up almost another 1/2” for weight transfer as well as having almost another 1/2” of down travel with the front extended (plus those extended ball joints you got/I want)👌🏼

Stick shift class! That mustang with you driving it in the stick shift class would be alot of fun to see! I think someone on the channel has to take over that class. I remember my late father had a Zippo lighter with a tank with a Cadillac emblem on it. They gave the employees that made tanks for WW2 at the Cadillac plant in Detroit. One of my Dad's best friends was the big boss at the Ford engine foundry in Brookpark, I had a lot of friends who worked at the engine plant. My best friends Dad worked in the part of the plant where they built and tested the Boss 302. It's where my crate engine came from that went in my North Carolina that started life with a six with a three on the tree. Be careful Bill that Blue oval can be an addiction. Lol. Brings back memories for me, I had 2 different 1988 mustangs in that same color. One was a rare T top (not an official option that year, just Ford using up some leftover parts after discontinuing them in 1987) manual, 5.0 GT. The other, a fully loaded manual 5.0 GT convertible with white top. Some of my favorite cars that I had owned. Hard to believe that was over 20 years ago already.

Amazing. I have a 1990 GT red with same wheels. I can’t wait. I am running Holley as well but I used a complete aeromotive fuel system that uses a stock style tank with upgrades. I love it should be a perfect system for this car.

A Fox Body is a "me too" car, but there is a reason for that. They are light, parts are cheap and plentiful, the cars themselves are cheap and with a few bolt-ons they will hook on a dirt road. They also make K-members to swap in almost any engine combo you can think of. People can hate, but these cars are a great way to get into drag racing for your first time.

I have a 95 5.0 I have been trying to work on but my condition it's been difficult( tumor tethered spinal cord ). I do what I can.. I'm a die hard gm guy myself. But once I got my foxbody I couldn't turn back. It'll grow on you faster than you think! The fox platform is perfect for street cars and dedicated racecars. With a wide variety of parts you can budget build or go all out.
