I’ve used tools from both EZMTB and Toopre. They’re utterly fine. My favorite Toopre tool is their caliper alignment spacer. You put it on the rotor, slide it under the pads, and tighten the caliper bolts. It’s brilliant.

Good video! the only thing i would comment on is the allen keys. when i actually finally splurged on a quality set it was instantly one of those "why have i waited decades to do this?" moments. no doubt the budget sets get the job done when funds are tight but i'd definitely recommend extending that budget when possible.

some of those would be very usefull my "end of summer" maintenance. As I've seen here said already, most of people around dont need to have top tear tools, maybe on one or 2 specific ones, but average tools will do the trick very well. thats quite a nice range of tools for DIY cyclists

Let’s be honest, the average rider won’t need Park Tool quality. You’re going to use it a hand full of times. And when it does fail you can buy from Temu again and still be ahead of the game. Only certain items will I pay for quality.

Nice one Jourdain! For most of the tools, you don't need top end quality as cheaper branded/unbranded are fine to use. The only caveat that i know is for Allen Keys and Screwdrivers. The sets in the video are fine if you have nothing else or starting out. It is good to invest in quality set (doesn't have to be Park Tool) as they tend to be better made and less likely to round the bolts or shred the screw heads. I have a allen key set from Wera which are really good and I'm finding bolts that i usually tend to tighten/loosen often like on the brakes and pedals, the heads are stripping less that before. But other tools i got are from Halfords or when Wiggle was still active some Lifeline tools

Nice review. You'll need the larger torque wrench if you are removing or installing any screw in bottom bracket. One of mine needs both 40Nm and 54 Nm settings. The other needs 40, 50, and 8 Nm settings.

😮 Looks like a good travel tool set. Torque wrench price looks excellent. But, my experience with lower cost torque sets is they are not as accurate at low newton forces. This may be an exceptiion.

Torque wrench tool is the only tool I need as am single chain ring rider swapping out my 38t to 48t for events with lower EG. The rest is over kill for a daily cyclist I guess as most common tools are already a basic tools in your saddle bag

Is it possible to set the torque wrench to fix the torque in a counterclockwise direction as well? It’s surprising that this isn’t possible with the Rose wrench, especially given the high price.

Yes it is... however, general rule of thumb is not to undo with the torque wrench as it's unnecessary stress. Especially if the bolts are seized or tight. That's likely why your torque wrench doesn't allow you to undo.
