Can't find a way to get my Trek FX Sport 4 mounted to Saris H3. It has a 169mm thru-axel without drop-out brackets. Any idea of a combination of adapters for this thru axel?

I researched a lot of cycling frames and the one that offered the best value for money for me was the Quick Pro Air:One.

I've bought myself a Vanyar pro and building it as we speak. It seems theyve addressed a lot of the issues you've raised. The seat tube bolt cover has been redesigned and sits on top of the frame and doesnt encapsulate it, less likely to be knocked and pulled up by the legs. Theyve added a textured surface to the seat tube to also reduce chances of the seat tube slipping. Also I barely had to use an internal routing kit as it came with tubing that fit on the end of hydraulic hoses. I only needed the internal routing kit for the di2 ewire from the rear derailleur. Theyve also changed to a threaded T47 BB over a press fit. my only snag is my head tube brearing cover doesnt sit flush with the frame even after loading up the headset. Just waiting on delivery of 165mm cranks and then I can take it out and hit the road!

Have you used a helmet mount? I used to have a Sony Action Cam (114 grams) up there... until it crapped out. (Silly me, I thought Sony knew how to build cameras.) The X4 specs show 239 grams (I think with battery), so that's only about 4 oz. more. As a roadie, I use cameras for safety first (hoping to never need to use footage as evidence in court), so they're always recording. I'm beginning researching 360 cams for safety AND funner videos, but I will retain my Cycliq Fly12 & Fly6. Thanks so much!

First adjusting the reach (stem lenght) and then saddle setback is not the way to go. Always first saddle height and setback, and only then you can adjust the reach.

I once crashed on my then new carbon road bike. It rode like wet spaghetti from that point on. I and others looked it over many times and never found anything wrong with it. I am sure to this day that it was never the same.

It took me two views of this video but it taught me that I had set up the tail mount to make the selfie stick come out too flat. I thought I was going to have to move the seat post mount down below the seat stays but instead I changed how the clamp was oriented and now the stick shoots up at a steeper angle. Thanks!!

I'd like to see a review of rims where the reviewer is not using tubeless. Hasn't anyone heard of TPU tubes. Also, if you're going to go tubeless add the sealant through the valve then pump up.

Great advice to build a bike using Chinese frame and wheels. I bought a Chinese frame with aero seatpin ,fully integrated bar/stem headset and custom colour. I chose a Chameleon colour Aston Martin green which changes to purple. The seatpin and bar stem were also painted the same colour. Also bought Chinese wheels with ceramic bearings. Altogether about €1500. I bought a Shimano Ultegra mechanical groupset and continental GP tyres . The bike is a dream. Had so many compliments it out shines almost everything else out there.

Kin ell....all that just for a clean look front end on a bike that's going to bags n bottles, n cargo shorts that make any aero gain from integrations pointless. Great video but me not doing that.

Carbon is allso the most important ingredient in steel, so does carbon have a lot of the carateristics of steel, if not using too much of it ? I mean, does carbon get more flexible if not using too much of it, kind of making it softer, but not yet breaking too easily?

I drove a similar set of wheels (cheaper CXP ones) for 8 years as a daily commute driver and got them as well used ones. I think curbs and did not treat them nicely. They now finally broke down because the braking surface is only 0.9mm thick (you can measure that). I loved them along the way and they are really robust due to their shape

Great vid - using the extra wheel is thinking outside the square. But as one commenter mentioned I think it would be better to use the extra wheel as a measuring tool and not stress the threads of the hangar by manipulating the hangar with the spare wheel - correct with a spanner/check with the wheel. As the hangar is sacrificial it is designed to be the weakest link but apparently it is also not under much stress when in operation so a quick fix to get operational - say over the weekend - is quite reasonable. Further to the weakest link....I have discovered that a major cause/risk is transporting my bike in the back of my hatchback. I used to lay the bike disc brake up for protection but that puts too much pressure on the derailleur. I made a foam cradle to rest the cranks and top tube on - which takes the pressure off both Indexing the gears when anything is misaligned is not only frustrating - and next to impossible - but misalignment also chews out the chain and the cassette, so it is poor economy to be anything but a temporary fix. (How do I know that?)) The correct derailleur tools are excellent but I found more care means no need for that expense...after all I have only had a bent hangar twice in 20 years. I do my own maintenance - the only area on my bikes I will not touch is the headset and rebuilding wheels.

Thanks for the detailed video. Can you tell if there are magnets joining the 2 wheels when folded and how easy it is to roll the bike folded (hence the question about the magnets, which keeps the whole thing more stable and "united")? Thanks

I had Neo 2, and yes, it slipped sometimes, but I did not care. Not it lost resistance without any overheating. What I do care is quality. Don’t trust Tacx anymore. Btw had problems with putting Orbea Orca on it- had to buy additional adapter for dual thread which was only available in Belgium

Same here, I have a 2T and in the middle of the workout it lost all its resistance and all the light no longer turns on (the indicators and the fancy lights). Powering the unit only turns the fan on. Emailed Garmin yesterday but yet to get any reply. Seriously considering the Jetblack Victory or something else

12:09 What can we do people? Ahh, I've never wasted my money on carbon junk. Steel is the optimum. Weight doesn't matter. Eddy Mercx was the best and it had nothing to do with his bike. People ride for many reasons and mostly it's enjoyment. Weight.. doesn't.. matter.. people... But corporates want churn. Spend idiot spend. Phanks but no phanks, I'll keep my stable of steel beauties. But the frame repair guy is making a killing, no? So why wouldn't he describe all the junk he repairs for a living as "amazing bikes"? He's cleaning up big time. Hahahahahahaha

is there an update on this bike, testing it on roads extensively? I'm interested in this frame, to move my GRX 1x11 - 800 series (mechanical) on it. With some Ultegra crank and 1x transmission.
