I have had pretty good luck with Temu. I take my time and read the reviews. Usually if it sounds to be true, it is too good to be true. But I have gotten some really comfy everyday clothes from them. Being on a fixed income, Temu has been a life saver.

Just because the company is from China doesn't mean their workers are suffering. Alot of temu products come from individual store owners in China. It even tells you who sells the product Edit: Temu was founded and is run out of Boston Mass USA. Their parent company has moved from China to Ireland. They do source their materials/products from China. Just like MOST retailers including all the big ones.

Just want to add a little disclaimer for anyone who is also considering buying from Temu. The reason that they are able to keep their prices so low is because they make products fast (in a way that harms the environment), with workers who recieve very little pay for what they're doing (often involving child labor), and their products are often just cheap throw away materials with no sort of longevity. The same is true for many other similar apps such as shein. I think videos like this just to test things out or maybe 1 or 2 purchases aren't that bad, but I HIGHLY recommend you don't go regularly supporting any companies like this. Nothing against Rae or anything, the video is very entertaining, just wanted to make anyone aware of these issues. Edit: For those of you in the comments asking for "proof" I can give you an explanation that can serve as one. You guys are all arguing about the labor part, but what I wanted people to focus on is the environment part of things. Temu operates under the mentality of "fast fashion" whether it wants to or not. This means that trendy pieces (whether that be clothing OR items) are mass produced cheaply and are, thus, sold at a cheap price. Because of this, and this has nothing necessarily to do with Temu itself, but just the psychology of humans, people are going to value and put more worth onto things they spent more money on that they deem as higher quality, and of course, the opposite is true for Temu products. Therefore, they are more likely to throw out something from Temu since they deem it to be worth less and will move on easily and then more waste just gets spread around in general. The same is true for other apps like this one and that's the MAIN problem with them. If you still don't believe me then you can do some research on the concept of fast fashion, you might learn a thing or two 👍

Temus prices are low because they manufacture in a part of China using slave labour, Temu also has a huge amount of unresolved complaints at the BBB (Better Business Bureau) where they noted that there was a shockingly huge amount of complaints within a short amount of opening business. So please be careful before recommending a company ❤️💜

I was on the Temu band wagon, loved the products and cost. However, I returned a dress because it did not fit. They issued me a credit. Then, they debited my back account the cost of the dress. Stating they did not receive the dress. So far, we are even except I don't have the dress. Then they send me a confirmation of receiving the dress. So, now they have the dress, they have the original payment and a second payment they debited from my account. I have been texting back and forth and they continue to state I have the credit. I decided I was tired of arguing with them and would use my credit and chalk up the $68.55 as a learning lesson. I tried to use my credit and received a notice that my credit was not available. I am posting this on all the Temu haul videos I can find. If you buy from Temu - do not return anything! They are horrible and have now charged me twice for a dress that I do not have.

Oh yeah, they are 1000% doing this. Unfortunately, so is basically everyone else. Temu is just the only place that bothers pass the savings of said abuse onto the consumer. But for all their many, *many* ethical problems, the quality of their stuff has been consistently pretty good for me. Absolutely not recommended for anyone who can afford to vote with their wallet, but a potential lifesaver for those of us who can't.

there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. somewhere along the line, no matter what you buy, someone is getting screwed, whether it's Temu or Apple. Not that it's an excuse for it to continue to happen, but people should be aware that it's not always so obvious in terms of cheap items and labor. There's also raw materials going way down the supply chain from weaving and dying fabric, to picking cotton. Don't forget about all the kids in the mines harvesting rare earth metals for our phones.

6:04 So I studied abroad for 2 months a few years back. I got a cross body travel purse off of amazon that had a metal cable through the strap, a wire mesh in the bag, and clasps for the zippers. Looks like they removed the item so I can't find it again. Also, the RFID protection, don't put a ton of stake into that. A sheet of aluminum foil blocks it out completely. I do like those for theme parks but much smaller, about the size of a phone. I keep it under my shirt so it's less dorky.

I bought the socks for my daughter (small/kid sized) and honestly they were nice when I first got them, but after washing them they like bunched up and really didn't hold up very well. So maybe the the size you got was made better since they look more like adult sized, but I am going to stick to old navy socks since they last much longer and hold their shape. Great video! :D

Resin is another novelty KZbin "art" phase that's awful for the environment- those "quirky" novelty earrings or drink coasters people make and sell on Etsy eventually get donated to multiple thrift stores every time someone gets bored of it and they eventually end up on landfill sites where it stays permanently because resin isn't degradable so it'll most likely eventually find its way into the ocean. Pinterest style DIY art that people quickly get fed up with 😑🤦🏼‍♀️

Most of the craft supplies I've gotten from them have been fairly good - except for the spools of chain I bought for jewelry making. I expected costume quality chain to begin with but the "silver" chain has large areas where the silver-colored plating is worn off showing the black base material, before I even used it. The pieces I made from the "good" sections have areas where the silver has worn off after only a couple of times wearing the jewelry.

That is the one thing I have noticed, NONE of their clothes or slippers don't smell. I've brought things from US that smell, but not from TEMU. And yes they are inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. I wasn't disappointed in their jewelry, bought 3 rings, one was too small 😞 the other two I got just right. So think it all depends on the ring. Loved the printer though, that was cute. And yes I bought 5.00 sunglass from Big Lots 10 years ago and still have them LOL. I got some jammies, good quality and the slippers OMG...so cute and comfy.

I’ve always wanted a capybara teddy but don’t like supporting fast fashion companies 😢 I also don’t like that Shein class teddies and toys under the pet category to avoid regulations which means they can get away with using whatever rubbish material and carcinogenic plastic in plastic toys that are obviously for kids not pets. Also I’ve then seen comments of buyers that have given the soft toy to their dog which has then instantly destroyed it and choked on parts of it because it’s not actually a pet toy.

It's the global version of one of the biggest online shopping store in China called 'Taobao'. It's really cheap as a new member but when you shop again the shipping cost can be expensive, I know cause my mum tried. Temu, Wish, Shein etc are basically all the same thing but rebranded and their work ethic is none at all. Just wanna say if you buy any makeup from the sites just be careful cause you never know what ingredients they use in their products. Buying basic stuff from them is okay but if you're expecting even just a standard quality product don't. So yea just shop with caution 😊

I approach them like I would going to Dollar Tree - you get what you pay for. I only buy items that don't matter if they are cheap. Avoid anything elctronic.

For sure yes ! Art supplies! I would really like to see if anything there is worth it like paper ? Brushes etc water colour paper. Glad you got some wins with you misses. Temu is fun My family had alot of fun with our order and will order again. Honestly everything we got was just as advertised or better. The ball caps my son got were great quality and not goofy looking meaning the size and shape were great.

I bought those same sunglasses you bought. They looked SO beautiful on the site, but when I got them I was so seriously disappointed as you were. I have not worn them at all and I was initially very excited to receive them before they were delivered. I’ve bought other sunglasses from them though that were great.

Make sure to have their UV protection checked. (Sometimes stores do them for free) If they faked the ratint it can let more uv light into your eye and slowly damage them. Edit: There are UV protection testing cards too, this way you can test a lot of sunglasses even at home.

Temu usually let's you keep the item if you don't ask for a refund to your original payment. They even let you keep the item.

Hi - really love your main channel and also gave a like to this video. Having said that, all the hype around Temu, a company that produces a lot of items that will immidiately go into the garbage for prices that does not leave much imagination as to how much their workers are being paid really concerns me on many ways. Also, would have liked to see you actually use all the items before rating them, why do the colored eyelashes get 8/10 when you didn’t use them? To me they looked like really corse and I would worry putting them on my eyes.

I still wouldn't shop from them. Their stuff might be better than wish, but not by much, and their prices are too low to not be suspicious. I don't think the quality is good, especially with the electronics. Granted, I've never shopped with them, but based on their ads, they seem a lot like shein, and shein obviously has a bad reputation.

Sadly I've stopped watching some KZbinrs who all they did was promote fast fashion for the sake of the environment and fair wages. I don't believe KZbin needs to sacrifice people or the environment or do stupid pranks for the sake of content. If they want the money generated from us commenting on their video ( each comment we make on Rae's videos she is drawing revenue from as does every like. ) So even though we may not be agreeing with her practice of promoting Temu, because we are commenting on it ,she's generating revenue from these comments..so now that she's seen people are displeased and she's further profited off it, she now has the choice to address it OR further continue profiting and promoting which then we have to decide if we want to allow her to further generate revenue off of our comments, NOT just our views.

As much as I love your content, I really don't think you should be using it on places like Shein and Temu that openly break labor laws, pay their workers pennies, and use child labor. At least consider putting a disclaimer. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but I think people need to be more aware especially with the size of your audience. You can get this sort of stuff at a thrift store.

I love shops like Temu it’s so helpful for me,name brand clothing shop are no different than Temu when it comes to making their things so it fine whichever a person chooses it’s basically classist to look down on stores like Temu because it’s helps bigger people and poorer people get to buy nice things. I have learned with Temu you have to take your time scroll and read sizes and read the reviews. That will save you the heart break when you get it in. The picture may make you think it’s bigger then it is. The money I have saved on the great items way out way the things that wasn’t worth the money and I got stuck with. I am the type of person to give something assorted throw away instead of wasting time with returns.

I bought a wall hanging that they claim the majority of the material was iron. They should have said it was made out of tin which would be a more accurate description. When it arrived arrived, it was dented and bent. Not suitable for gift giving let alone hang it on the wall. I also bought a set of 4 throw pillow covers which according to Temu's discription they were double sided and it wasn't. What they sell is junk and if you read the reviews of the products they sell, they won't allow negative reviews. I bought from them before and pretty much liked what I got. I gave positive reviews and gave one negative review. Because I left a negative review, this last purchase I received which is what I wrote about here I guess I can't do anymore reviews. 😂

I've bought lots of things from Temu. Most were good to great, some just OK. My favourite is their eyebrow pesncils. They work so well

The chip bag sealer has a hard plastic that you have to remove before using. Its brown. Once you take that off then it should work.
