I love my Dyson. I have three. Yes Vivian, three. Two cordless sticks and a big old plug-in Animal honker that is 14 years old and still works. I understand that I could probably put a down payment on a new car for what I paid for my Dyson's but maaaaaaan, they really are the best. I have a 125 lb overactive shedding family member that requires a serious vacuum. When I find something that works, I usually stick with it. I am relieved that the Aldi knock off lost the dust-on-the-carpet test because I probably would have lost it if it out did the Dyson. Thank you for testing this and keeping us up on the latest cool stuff everywhere. MUAH! (do people still say that?)

I worked for Dyson as an online sales & customer service rep for three years and you were spot on in complaints. Literally the trigger having to be held was my number one complaint from my customers. And yes, using your Dyson cordless on Max will destroy your battery in minutes. A lot of my customers felt they got played by not being told that when they bought their vacuums. Having worked for them and seeing how sketchy they are and how the machines fail and/or the batteries fail just after the 2 year warranty ends on most of them really turned me off to the brand. You can get a machine that is just as good for way less. :)

I’ll also add that if you garden and are in the market for garden edging, Aldi’s is the absolute best price hands down. You can get ~3 boxes for the same price as Lowe’s/home depot 1 box. You’ll want to buy more stakes though.

I recently stumbled onto you channel and binged watch some of ur video. You are a true gem lol. I have the dyson cordless stick vacuum and love it so much. I hate that the battery needs to recharge after 15 minutes of “max” suction. I recently purchased , from Amazon, the vacuum stand with tools holder. Best thing ever! You don’t need to drill holes into walls. Maybe it will be of benefit to you for your new vacuum (or old vacuumtoo).

Thanks, Vivian! I will look at Aldi for this vac! In 2020 I purchased a Dyson + 6 weeks later, the battery DIED!!!! Because of covid, I had to do everything online, including diagnosing WHY my $625 Dyson (pet vac) would not work AND would I was NOT able to (even) charge it. Diagnosis - DEAD battery . . . so I had to "apply" for a new battery. I received THE NASTIEST email, saying that most likely the battery died because I did NOT clean the filter. (I happened to have cleaned the 3 times in 6 weeks.) My "blood boiled" with accusing ME of not cleaning the filter AND my stupidity was the reason the Dyson vac died, so I returned the vac, TO Dyson. Lucky for me, because of covid, they had extended their one month return policy and sent me a prepaid shipping label. When the box went back TO Dyson, there was a NASTY letter AND all kinds of JUNK in the box . . . I will never, ever purchase another Dyson product. They always have been OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced.

Bissell. The Bissell Pivot Pet vacuum (can’t remember exact title, but I can find it). My mom has the Dyson Animal. This is a dupe for that & it actually works BETTER, and several sites I visited before buying it rated it equal to or higher than Dyson. I love it. So, yes, there is another that does it. 😃 Editing to add the name of the vacuum I bought. BISSELL 2254 CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet Upright Bagless Vacuum I was so happy to have a new vacuum. My husband came here from India after we were married and REFUSED to let me buy a new vacuum. He kept fixing the one we had, even fixing the MOTOR at one point. It finally died after 7 years, and I was so happy. 😂😂😂

I love my Dyson. I have the V6. It’s an older model but I’ve had it for about 6-7 years. It’s starting to fail but I’m not giving up on it yet. Gonna have to figure something out. When my mom visited me and I was vacuuming the living room rug and she said “that’s a good vacuum.” I asked her why and she said “I can see how deep it’s getting into the carpet.” I agree the suction is amazing for a stick vacuum.

Just because retail store buyers find products to be sold in their stores doesn't mean it's made by the store brand. Sometimes consumers ma be able to find a brand elsewhere.

I love this test but it made me love my Dyson even more. The “dupe” is definitely for your dorm kids!! Yess, the Dysons are over priced, but they last for Ever!! I have one that I bought in 2006 that we now use strictly for the cars (because we’ve even used it to vacuum the fake lawn)and another we got about 2014. Both vacuums still work like champs. That’s what makes them so great for me, they pay for themselves overtime.

Personally for me is highly important to have something that doesn't leak out a dang thing but of course I would never put my money into a vacuum that doesn't have a light and a feature that stays on so that my finger doesn't get tired. I know that Dyson came up with other models I'm not sure about those since I have another Brand vacuum anyway ...., Maybe those have a better on feature so our fingers don't get tired that was just the stupidest thing ever and I questioned those who bought it and kept it. You should have shown how the Aldi and Dyson did on a hard surface. I would never clean carpet with a stick, I'd use it strictly for a fast pickup on hard surfaces. I have a Kirby for carpet.

My sister in law bought the Philips' SpeedPro max. The floor attachment LED made more sense as it clearly exposes how dirty the floor can be. Battery life is average, but the charger died on us after its first year which is so Philips like. And oh, even the turbo or max function doesnt work now which is a bummer for an also expensive vacuum. Not as cheap as this Home Easy brand, but we do see various dupes and some can even stand on their own without needing to lean on the wall or mount.
