@@Steven_R_Taylor Yes, I tend to agree. Farm sales are a good place to find the impossible. When I was doing contract engineering, I would have made the covers from pictures. The first part of the video was like watching Beavis and Butthead with wooden legs in a butt-kicking contest. Ignored the whole protocol of properly troubleshooting the machines components for mechanical viability to avoid doing more harm with a rushed start-up. 19 out of 20 of these youtube startup videos don't possess that common sense and reflect that low-experienced mechanic who impatiently rushes past the proper trouble-shooting checklist to hear it run. For the engine, inspecting for viability, checking the oil for water, dumping the crappy oil when you know you have good compression. Checking and resolving compression issues and oil pressure getting to the top of the engine. Establishing a clean fuel delivery system, draining water out of tank, changing or temporarily flushing fuel filter, flushing lines, checking for pulse pressure going to the injectors. Checking the hydraulic system for low-viscous, milky fluid is on top of the list for pre-startup priority, checking and addressing any problems. Changing hydraulic filter, draining hydraulic tank, pulling and cleaning the sump screen. Flushing the tank with a diesel/oil mix before adding clean fluid. Once it is running, flushing the milky oil out thru the return hose until the milk clears up. Redemption almost comes by refreshing the hydraulic pump, finding the stuck valve, and refreshing the gear box. But the crappy hydraulic fluid was still left to run ammuck thru the pump, valves and motors.
