Walmart hosts lots of third-party sellers and doesn't really police what they offer. It's sort of like what Amazon does. So, unless the listing says the it's sold by Walmart, it's really up to the seller to be honest about what they're selling and the customer to know what they're buying.

so to answer your qeustion, 2g phones are still used in china, india, and a few other spots. Likely this is a phone just to recieve and make calls and that's about it. The majority of people using them are old ladies.

Are people actually buying these though? I mean like you could grab a million cheap old phones that'll do 2G (and probably even 3G or 4G) for $30 or less, and are so so much better than these. I'm not sure I've ever used a phone with a worse camera than either of these 2 phones. Everything about these phones were horrific lol. And of course the other question is why even sell these in the US? You can't even use 2G in the US lol

@@SmokinSilicon I work in the Retail business and have intimate knowledge of the supply chain for technology. 1. $30 is a lot of money for some countries. Please leave it at that. 2. Availability is high for high economies because everyone is trying to make money there. Go to India where you have 1.42 billion people and the average wage is under $400/month, and this figure is generous as India has a lot of filthy rich people but most are dirt poor. 3. Importing phones might not be feasible. For example I could get one from the US that's locked to one of the US carriers, but here in the UK that phone might be useless as it does not cover most of the bands I need to have a decent experience. 4. And I feel that this is obvious, poor countries have a lot of crime and theft. You are less likely to be robbed if you have a cheap flip phone than if you rock any smartphone. 5. A lot of the aging population (Central Africa for example) only now gets electricity, cable, internet, mobile phones. Imagine trying to explain to you grandma how to use Android 15 (which is way more complicated than the 1). 6. Less likely to be tracked, found or easily associated with a certain individual (drug dealers, guerrilla fighters, militants, prisoners etc) 6. Why would someone import it in the US? To make money by selling it to idiots, clearly, novelty, back up phone etc.

These suck. Walmart has a $19 Nokia classic flip phone if you are looking for a decent flip phone. It has 4G, WIFi, Google, KZbin, GPS and a camera. I bought it just to see what watching KZbin was like on a flip phone. It's pretty cool, honestly. My old flip phones couldn't do anywhere near that.

Yep. My halfway decent Motorola is still going strong on 4 years now. It has had two batteries. The original, then an AceSoft from eBay. I didn't buy a third battery. I just soldered in a power adapter. It works great, it's just my home internet browser phone. So, I don't mind that it has a permanent cord that goes to a 120v wall outlet.
