I'm pretty sure that front right tire was original to the tractor, I think you said 1974. That's pretty miraculous :) You got quite a bargain there, and the hydraulics seemed to work without any issues. Awesome :)

I have a 1970 John Deere 140H3. I have a snowthrower and a 46” mowing deck for it. I see yours has a rear pto pulley for a tiller. You could hook a hydraulic cylinder to the top deflector on the snowthrower and operate it with the outside H3 lever. I did that to mine. Have a great day. I don’t want to see snow ever again. 😂 If I could help it. 👍🏻🇨🇦
