Make no mistake, it's cheap for a reason. The clutch tends to eat itself and bam you need a new clutch which will set you back probably half the price of the car in its current value. That's why a lot of people drive them in manual mode. This is a car you admire from a far.

Calvin. Because of your video a few weeks ago on the bmw635d I sold our car ( hyundai veloster) missus was not happy. Collected my 2010 635d black with black leather 76k miles yesterday . The car is a weapon. I told the missus Calvin made me do it🤣. On a serious note a top guy I worked with Steve recently passed from cancer so I thought fuck it buy that 635d you only live once.

Calvin I remember the first time I saw a quadraporte on TV in a review it was Top gear in 2005 they compared it against a porsche panemara turbo and a Aston Martin Rapide the cars costing £85k to £110k, Clarksons favourite was the Quadraporte, he loved the exhaust note. That’s a very good sales pitch Calvin. Genuinely, that was an honest and enthusiastic review of that lovely motor. My late father in law had a big hand in raising the awareness of Maserati in the uk and developed a specialist business looking after them. Going strong still. He said they made a sound like no other. I’d be tempted, but I think I’m going to sell my car and buy and convert a van instead.

Love these cars, I picked up a later version with the ZF gearbox and it cruises like no other I’ve ever had. The double glazing is so good you really need to crack the window if you want to experience the wonderful exhaust note.

What did it for me though, was the interior as it was like sitting in a gentleman’s club. His was in brown leather and it looked awesome. That’s one hell of a lot of car for £7k.

Does it have the ZF Gearbox though? If it does that is a very very rare car. Quttroporte is more about the fact the original car in the 70s was one of the first (if not the first) with 4 ports per cylinder.
