I had it too for a while and one thing I noticed is that more expensive ones are not as noisy. This one would wake me up at night sometimes when my cats chased each other thru it. it's so... plastic-y.

The stick thing he really loved that you rated 4.5 is silvervine, that’s why he loved it so much. Silvervine is similar to catnip. It’s good for dental health too, though make sure they only eat the actual silvervine and not the rope or anything else that’s on it.

I'm telling you, a STRAW. Mango actually fetches it, and brings It back. it's a riot the way she picks it up.😂😂 She puts one paw on one end to hold it down, then..... That yellow fabric auto wand toy resembles the as seen on tv version which is junk & stops working after a few uses. I had a roommate with 1. I bought the purple smarty kat version which is still working 8 yrs later & runs on AA batteries. Comes with twizzler looking attachment which is actually great * a feather 1 too. Definitely recommend that 1 over the yellow 1.

The last one. The stick will break first time he plays with it. Reinforce it with another stick prior to use. Like a shrimp skewer or something like that. Loved this one. One note on the stick… it’s probably silvervine, kind of catnip on steroids. The silvervine is fine, but if they chew on the stick it can be an issue. My Todd (who looks just like Kurt!) loved the sticks but punctured his esophagus and it was not great. He’s fine, but it was not fun for either of us.

Why are these items One Star? My guess: They could cause injury or death. The chicken has that hard voice box in it. Cat toys with hard parts where the cat is meant to bite can lead to a cracked tooth. It's approximately $1,000 to fix and will involve your pet having to be sedated for surgery. Been there, done that with a different kind of thing. The retractable cat wand had those shiny ribbons attached. And yes, those definitely attracted Kurts attention. But cats die every year from eating plastic ribbons like that. They're not really safe to be put on toys (also, you can have issues with Easter grass in baskets). If cats eat such things, they can become unable to poop or they can have their organs sliced on the inside by the plastic's edges. Snake: See chicken. Stick: Not sure. I would check the ingredients in the glue, but it should be safe to chew on. Feathers stuck to ground: Also has hard parts. See chicken. Wobble teaser: had an orange ball to attack, so either more cracked teeth or easily destroyed if the cat is even interested. Anyway those would be my guesses. Nice to see the fiancee working behind the scenes with you (I'm guessing based on voice). I do hope her relationship with Kurt is improving.

Kurt loved that rainbow tube. Kurt gave that 5/5 stars. I like the wand too but my cat's went nuts over the wand with feathers attached. Try and find that if you can. My Siamese did flips with that toy. I would give the tinsel on a stick a low rating because it is a choking hazard.
