I recently got into sneakers, and after seeing how much the real versions go for, I started looking into ua/replicas. I started following repsneakers and sneakerreps ( if you have low karma and want to comment, use sneakerreps) and start asking away and watching what others are buying and showing. Certain sellers have better batches and they have a trusted seller list along with a black listed seller list that stays up to date. I currently have a pair of the Travis Scott dunks from the pk 2.0 batch on the way from Monica, and a pair of the Jordan 1 union black toes from the ljr batch coming from mango.

Your average Chinese seller doesn't have more costs than that, even shipping is paid extra by you. In the same time, unlike the one that sold you this, someone at Nike hat to designed those shoes, had to test it, had to pay transport, TAXES, renting a store where you have bought it, saleries to the seller in the store and all people included in whole process from scratch till you got the shoes... Fakes are becoming more popular and its all because of resellers. At the moment, it feels like brands are just selling pair for the resellers. They DON'T care about the costumers or the community. They make small amounts of pairs. This increases the price. Resellers then go and jack the prices up, cause thats all they care about. So I perfectly understand people that buy reps. Here’s the thing. Reps are okay. Nike uses factories in China. The sneaker market is ridiculous. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do. If you went to r/repsneakers on reddit, you wouldn’t be having problems and wouldn’t have been hacked because they have a list of trustworthy sellers and you can check it out for yourself. If I didnt make it clear in this video like I usually do, let me say it here, if you buy and support reps, cool, thats on you. If you buy reps to sell as real however that is where the line is crossed, and why vids like these are important. As new sneakerheads enter the marker every day, some may not know of this gray market, and they need to be careful or they will be burned. its happened to me it can happen to anyone if they are not careful. As for researching reps before I buy, i have people that are on top of that, but there is still a TON of risk shopping on these sites that close down all the time "trustworthy" sellers are only that way until they are not. They always mislabel the prices shipped and I have had my card comprimised before from one of the more trusted sites, so the risk of scam is real. We are all tired of the BS in the sneaker market. Bots, pay services, back doors, etc... buying fakes may be a solution for some but not for others.

They lasted 4 wears before all the stars on the bottom were gone, the firmness of the shoe were gone, the grip on the shoe is gone. Both Air Force 1s and Nike SB Dunks are older shoes that have been around for decades - as a result there has been plenty of time for fake specialists to copy the basic design and fine tune it to close to perfection. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who have made these shoes over the years in China, Vietnam and indonesia etc; the cutting and forming machinery, the dies and the CNC cutting codes are not hard to get, the supply chains for materials are understood and with the right software, you can pretty quickly match the crazy design patterns. Maybe some small details are not 100%, but I doubt that anyone walking down the street seeing these on feet would have reason to assume they are anything but genuine.

Leather on replicas is great on some pairs and shitty on cheaper ones. Number one thing that ALL fakes can’t and have not gotten correct yet is the tie dye on the inside. It’s supposed to be “blended” together, not blotchy. The tie dye is supposed to be the same as the insole print.

I totally agree that Nike can authenticate their products via QR code but I highly doubt they'll do it. Only because of the cost that it entails. I mean Nike makes a big deal if certain laces cost too much (crazy, I know) so this authentication procedure won't be coming anytime soon

I try to post this every time Hes does one of these vids. r/repsneakers is the best place to find trustworthy sellers and lots of people with experience of who sells the best reps for what shoes. I don't personally think anyone should have to pay the ridiculous prices resale soar to nowadays so quality fakes are the next best thing. Hope this helps ^__^

Here in Thailand we can have the same pair of shoes for 70 us dollars with the friend and family box .... It's very amazing because the copies are really perfect .... there are different qualities of copy the bad copies are 40 us dollars .... It's very hard now to buy a pair of shoes

Although a VIN-like number for shoes would be cool, it just isnt possible. If you bought them legit from Nike and sold them to me, would I have to register with Nike to say I have them now? Then same deal with next buyer? It is smart but also very tedious and a system Nike would not be bothered investing their time in creating. Especially when GR pairs are selling out and being resold also. On top of that Nike does not care about the reselling market. Once a shoe is sold out it's just onto the next one for them. They love the hype limited releases have but the resell market is growing so quickly that they dont need to change anything to make it "better" especially when their current formula is working. Best way to avoid being scammed is to buy directly from Nike, Adidas, Footlocker etc. If you HAVE to have these shoes and are willing to pay way over RRP then make sure the seller has a receipt.

receipt isnt the answer either, seen fakes printed in box along with stock x tags, trusted sellers are better than randoms for sure, but even they can get stung in today's market. And a Vin like registration could be possible depending on the releases. NIke might not care about the resale market but they do care about the fake sneaker market, so they could avoid a lot if they implimented a smart system imo

@@heskicks yeah that's true. I feel like most receipts that are more localised are more legit. Least that's what I do. If I miss out on a pair I want I just think about the next pair. I'm from Aus so there are a few telltell signs if they're legit. Our boxes have AUD price on them vs USD and basically every fake I've ever seen uses USD. That helps as well as like a footlocker receipt from a store on the outskirts of Sydney you know? KZbin videos of comparisons help heaps at seeing common REP flaws. Plus it makes interesting content to see the level of quality fakes are now too.
