I like the fact that this truck isn't extremely popular. You don't see them every day on the road, which is really cool. Not everyone is driving them all over the place like F150's. I'm currently looking to purchase one for the Nissan reliability. I'd like to purchase the diesel version but they are hard to find used.

Bro..you bought a damn good truck. I got a 2017 Titan Platinum Reserve and I love it! Titans are really good long lasting trucks. Think about it, how many titans have you seen broke down in the side of the road? You hardly ever see one on a secondary type car lot. You know why?, because the 2004's are still on the road! You get good deals on them now because of the competition. Trust me, you bought a long lasting tough truck..just enjoy it

Awesome buy man, thanks for the video. I have owned a couple of Titans, never an issue. I'll be buying a newer model here in a few months. It's difficult finding reviews on trucks that aren't primarily concerned about the "tech". I'm not as concerned with Apple Car play and heated steering wheel as I am with the bones of the truck. Love what you've done with this thing, very inspirational. Thanks!

I picked up a leftover ‘18 a little over a month ago. Top of the line model for only 40k. Couldn’t touch the price in any other brand and the warranty is awesome. Most people that complain about them have never owned one. And I could care less what their opinion is, I’m more concerned with facts. Most owners have nothing but good things to say. My new 2020 nissan titan shakes at speed between 65 and 72mph. I put 2 sets of new tires on this thing and it still shakes. I had to buy the tires because Bayou nissan where I bought the truck nor the nissan corpation would replace them. Even though the truck had sit on their lot for over a year and I was told by another nissan dealership the tires had flat spots. I was told by the dealership, the tires were not under warranty. I was told Nissan Customer care it was normal for the truck to shake at those speed. What a ridiculous response. Now, I see why their sales are declining and they stopped trying to sell trucks in Canada.

I bought my 08 Titan in 2011 w/58K miles and it now has 248K. It has absolutely been THE most dependable vehicle I've ever owned - PERIOD. The only maintenance it's had is tires, brakes, oil changes, fuel pump (recall), and a power steering hose - that's it! It's like your Pilot though in that nobody else would assign value I would to it so in my driveway it will stay. Also like you I couldn't believe how little I paid for it considering other brands. Way underrated in my opinion especially with the addition of rear airbags w/on board compressor, heated front seats, long tube headers and Flowmaster 50 exhaust, dyno tuning, Pioneer touch screen head unit w/backup camera, Rockstar wheels, remote start alarm. The American brand trucks really do have a cult following. It does not matter to many people if they will be reliable or not, but because their family has owned ford, GM, Dodge for generations people go out and buy one too. The manufacturers know this VERY well and they can afford to take short cuts in quality and overprice their trucks. Its a sad reality that the quality in American vehicles has gone down over the years. But when foreign companies are making quality trucks for much cheaper why not give them a shot. Just my two cents. Great purchase and wish you lots of luck with the truck!

Hqen2000 Congrats on the truck purchase. Now one thing I would definitely recommend. Is get a leveling kit to raise the vehicle up another 1in or a 32 ready lift to give a little more height so you can go through high water and not worry about water getting in the exhaust pipe. Oh and I would recommend a chrome delete on the vehicle as well.
@DadMods
@DadMods 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah i'm just not sure how to do a chrome delete I'm looking into what can be purchased. I'm not going to dip the emblems I'm wayyyyyyyyyyy too lazy for that. I need something easy. I really want a big lift at least a 6" but I want to make sure it's stable and everything so I'll go as big as I reasonably can. Fabtech has a 6" lift that seems ok, but I really don't know much about lifts and when I'm clueless I tend to try to buy the most expensive thing I can because thats often the least risky path lol. Since the fabtech is the most expensive that's what I'm looking at. I'd assume there is a reason they think they can charge more than the other 6" lifts.

I have a 19 XD SV. DEF PUMP went out on me at about 20K miles. Warranty fix of course, but the dealership gave me a hard time about it. Other than that, I do love the truck. I like the fact that there are very few on the road, and still cats at the gas station always stop and compliment or ask questions. "Is that a CUMMINS in a Titan?!?!" I'm like yes sir it is!

Excuse my bad English folks. I purchase a brand new Titan sv 2017. At 17000 kilometres, the engine begin knocking. At 24000 kilometres, in June 2019, Nissan replace my motor (short block). Now this month at 35000 kilometres my motor knocking again. It is always the cylinder number 7 who is problematic. Real epidemic trouble. In my small town we are 3/3 with this trouble. On Facebook pages, I’ve seen A LOT of cases, I see guys who are on third motor on 2018 model. Also see people with this problem on 2019 model (Titan, armada.) Nissan seems to don’t have a clue about this problem. The 7 speed transmission on 16-19’ model doesn’t works well too, and seems to be change very often . Long story short, run for your life, you can see a video of my titan knocking on my profile. I swear to god, I don’t beat the truck at all really lite works sometimes.

I bought a basic frontier brand new in 2000 and had it for 20 years 240,000 miles and never replaced exhaust, just brakes and synthetic oil, never burned a drop bit the body frame got bad and sold to a Texas person who needed a good used engine as I bought a 2018 titan and it's been a very good truck for the money and value. Nissan cars and trucks are great.

Great trucks! I had 4 ! Only problem I had was brakes on the 2005 and 2007 had trans lines that the rubber hoses wear causing leaks. But otherwise drove them over 200k. Nissan doesn't market these trucks properly! To me they are way better then a Toyota Tundra!

I love my pro4x. It goes like hell. Needs better gas mileage but I do drive into the middle of downtown . I put dual exhaust it makes a mean growl. We’ve owned a pathfinder too, but never had any quality or drivetrain issues. My previous ram was a 2014. It was starting to have electrical problems on a 2014!!! And I loved the ram.

The Nissan Titan are great trucks and (with the 5.6L Endurance V8) they'll outlast any overpriced EcoBoost truck that Ford makes with ease and plus I'd paid $45K for my 2024 as well.

Having sold just under 32,000 units last year, the Nissan Titan is now the worst-selling-pickup truck of any description in the nation. Even the Honda Ridgeline outsold it last year. Nissan sales as a whole are down almost 10% and their profits are down 98% from 2018. People are starting to realize that Nissan's are no longer reliable ever since they started parts-sharing with Renault. A shame because the Titan really is a good looking truck, I think. The styling is reminiscent of a 12th gen F-150 with its round wheel wells, triangular head and taillights, square grille, and especially the dip in the front windows.

I've leased 2 crew cabs, loaded Frontiers 2016 and 2018. Excellent vehicles no problems unlike my Fords. Nissan calls me every other year and tell me they want my vehicle and trade in for latest truck. No increase in money even though early trade in. Called me today and they said we want your latest truck. I really want a dodge 392 scat charger wide body in 2020 but rented a 2019 Altima SR turbo and is was one of the best driving cars ive been in in a really long time. I rent cars weekly for my work and have droven a lot of different 30-35k vehicles. Reason why gas mileage is very important. 35-40 mpg and still a quick fun ride the Nissan Altima SR. Love the 392 scat but practicality and mpg is the realistic choice for my work/ road trips i take for work.
@DadMods
@DadMods 5 жыл бұрын
yeah I know what you mean. The performance vs mpg line isn't completely linear, anything with a V8 makes the city mpg tank and requiring premium fuel ads a ton to the cost too. That altima does 14.5. That's not bad at all. That's plenty quick to have fun with.
@GettingthruLife

@@DadMods My V6 Fontiers got/get about 15-20 city/hwy mpg's so i could have been driving a 392 for the last couple of years and come out ahead this whole time. 392 V8 can be more effecient than my 260hp V6. Outdated tranmission plays a big part in frontier poor ratings. As you say good trucks but based on older tech.
