Hey Em, just a quick note, the LED bar doesn’t produce UV, it’s just an LED that is great for distinguishing day from night and to help plant growth, but it doesn’t produce UVA or UVB :)

I was just about to comment this, so I'm going to tag along! If you want to provide UVB for this gecko, I recommend either the 7% shadedweller UVB kit, or 2.5% shadedweller max, if you plan on keeping the moss bridge and wood piece under the UVB source. Also, those moss accessories are made by Komodo!

Hi! So u can actually by a UVB light tube which looks like an led but it isn’t. These are much better and are only on during the day or for 12hours so em is doing the correct thing😊

I know this is a ab convention but I really need help.I have a crested gecko he will be a year old soon. He hates handling, I have tried everything I can think of, as well meany different videos. She’s gorgeous! And this is why it’s so important to know the common name and scientific name of the animal you’re looking to purchase! I believe yours is Goniurosaurus luii which inhabits both China and Vietnam. They tend to have more orange in their bands. Also, it’s personal opinion of course, but zen habitats just look so cheap and unpleasant. And the amount of issues that arise after having one for a short time is definitely a turn off. I wish Zen would step it up. They have good ideas but it’s just not there yet. The overreach with creators is a bit sketchy too. They’ll send free cages to anyone with a large platform.

Guessing from the scientific name the one she wanted comes from hainan Island so maybe lui inhabits the island while lui is mainland South East asia

The Meridian is really cool! I'm one of those people who is terrified of assembling anything but this looks easy. Even though I have no reptiles each Emzotic video I watch brings me closer to getting a scaly friend. Also that gecko is gorgeous 🖤🧡

I recommend leopard geckos if you want to try getting a reptile. I never had a reptile before and got 3 leopard geckos last year. They’re usually pretty docile and can be handled some. Mine have never bitten me not once. Plus, they’re relatively easy to care for, especially if you keep them on just paper towels. They use one corner of the tank for the bathroom. Plus, I think they are so cute.

I was so exited for my first own reptile. The enclosure was a nightmare to build but i managed My first pet reptile was a snake. Mexican black kingsnake Also fairly easy to keep haha

I want 36" wide Zen habitats SO badly. And a better solution for humid enclosures. I have one where the condensation after the mister got between the walls and the liner and leaked out of the bottom. Aggravating because I LOVE them other than that. So easy to assemble and they look so good.

@@Emzotic I went along the bottom edges with silicone. But I had to move it at one point and I think even just scooching it was enough to pull it apart since the corners aren't screwed in. I wish there was some form of strip we could lay down along the bottom seams. Or an acrylic pan we could put in. It wouldn't ship 100% flat but I'd pay a little more to have something easier and more leak proof. Mine is bioactive and I live in Vegas so I have to pump a lot of water into it, lol. I'm not sure what the perfect solution would be. I don't want to silicone or screw the corners in because I LIKE the fact that I can break it down and store it. (I have two, one the animal has passed and it's broken down. I also am not using the base cabinet due to height restrictions. So currently have one enclosure and one spacer in use and one cabinet and one enclosure stored.) That's why I think something like a pan insert would be fantastic. It's probably not the most cost effective option but I think that's where enclosures like vision enclosures will win out for people needing better water proofing, even though I SO prefer Zen even just for aesthetics.
