Hey Scott, mad you should make the Lambo reference,as just watched an old episode of police interceptors, where they pull over a gorgeous blue Lamborghini, but it was a mk 3 with a body kit! Great informative video by the way.

Tyres and tyre pressures are crucial to the handling on these - when you lost that back end on the roundabout - has yours got the correct size tyres all round (wider at the rear) ? Are the pressures spot on? They don't like odd tyres either, best to have same brand all round.
@scottr97853 жыл бұрын
The pressures were spot on I’m pretty sure the tyres are all the same but hadn’t even thought about different widths at the rear just assume they are all the same, I mostly put it down to the roundabout it known for being a little slippy. Definitely some food for thought tho! Thanks for watching

@@scottr9785 Just seen and subscribed. Definitely wider tyres on the rear and keep an eye on the pressures. There's several breakers UK based and an excellent UK based Facebook group worth joining for parts, advice and that it is the friendliest car group. Also worth noting there's only around 5-6000 of these left on the road in the UK.

I run a 205 at the front and a 185 on the back and I prefer that feel as it skid turns a little, similar to go karts.

Rear quarters bolt on so easy to replace if you wanted to. Sold my last roadster on 160k and it was in superb shape and drove like new. Didn't use any oil. Great little cars and much more fun in the twisties than most people will admit.

A 911 is rear-engined! One of my first cars was an MR2. I really like it so might get another. Not sure if my first was fun because it was on terrible tyres that made it tail happy.

always funny to watch the face of someone who just lost the back end of an mr2 for the first time (mark 1, 2 or 3) 😅 on the plus side, if it had been a mark 2 you'd have been wrapped around a tree at the end of the video 😁

I bought a 2002 Mr2 a couple of months ago. She came with the name Maisie (I’ve never named a car but it has stuck). The previous owner gave me a gentle word of warning about the wet weather handling. Enjoy your Mister Two

Poor mans Lotus Elise. Especially with the 2ZZ swap and some suspension upgrades. I've lost the back end on a roundabout a couple of times and had the same reaction of slight fear and joy mixed together. The 3 times tank slapper at 50mph on a motorway slipway was less amusing! Getting new tyres as mine were made in 2014. I have the facelift roadster at 28psi front and 32 rear.
