I also own a MK3 RS and a MK3 MR2, which I don't use during the winter. Only has 56,000 miles on the clock. I think your MR2 may have had the exhaust manifold replaced. The heat shield is missing. If it has been replaced you won't have the pre-cat issues which the early ones suffered with. I've replaced mine. At 160,000 miles I would think that you won't have a problem. Looking forward to seeing the trip video. Take it easy in the wet!!

My sister had one of these when brand new and that rattled from day 1 till she sold it 95k later. I now have my own 22 year old one now & that has same rattles 😂
