S*** dude, that's a lot of games! I've been really wanting to do a pickup video but I think we have like five games here LOL. We've really slowed down picking up games, but looks like you're picking up our slack. Of all the games you listed, I really want to get that squirrel with a gun game 😂😂😂😂 and I wouldn't expect myself to like Balatro but I played so much Queen's blood in Final Fantasy 7 rebirth that it makes me think I probably would 😂😂

What helps a lot for me is doing turn-based games on emulation and then assigning a fast forward button to the controller. Being able to just superspeed your way through the boring fights is a pleasure, plus in some cases you can add hacks that greatly reduce the amount of grinding you need to do.

Man if consoles added these features, I’d be in turn based heaven lmao. I am debating on buying a Steam Deck this year tho, and if I do, I’ll definitely test out that method
@andrewhubbard5535Күн бұрын
Steamworld Quest is the only turn-based game that didn't put me to sleep. It's turn-based and deck building combined into one. It kept me engaged because I couldn't just spam my best attack every time. I had to adjust my plans around the cards I had during that turn. Also, it was addicting to consistently get new cards that completely changed my playstyle. It really kept the game from becoming stale.

Quite the stack and varieties of games Home Slice! Metaphor, Alan Wake 2, Tomb Raider Remasters,YS X, Slitterhead and Dragon Quest 3 Remake are the favorites from the bunch! I should be picking up some titles of mine myself and record a video and do brief synopsis on them to be blunt and straightforward. Love these types of videos where people give brief explanations, and be straight to the point about them Vinyard games 🎮 10/10 worth the ramblings and it's so unnecessary 😏

I did the same thing recently I bought Metaphor, HellDivers 2 and Sniper Elite Resistence. I also preordered Kingdom Come Deliverence 2, Monster Hunter Wilds and the collectors edition of DOOM: Dark Ages. You're not alone 😅

Nice pickups! I just finished Slitterhead. Got repetitive towards the end but overall I thought it was creative & a lot of fun. Then again, I loved Gungrave GORE too so I guess I’m just the prime audience for ps2-era jank 😂
@UnnecessaryRamblingКүн бұрын
I’ll always support PS2 styled throw back titles, even if I don’t personally click with them. I love that era of quirky jank so much lol.

Unknown 9 has been such an abysmal flop that they have just cancelled all plans for it. They had planned on a connected universe to "rival" Star Wars, including other forms of media and now the whole lot has been shit canned. Not surprising considering how the game looks barely any better than late gen PS3/360. Bought Alan Wake 2 back in Oct when it came out physically. Played it for a bit, but had just come of the back of Resi4 (which I picked up late) and Silent Hill 2, so AW2 just was not doing it for me, and I had so many other games to play. Started playing it again last week and started again from scratch (no pun intended), and have been enjoying it this time around. It certainly is a niche game, but holy shit it is well put together. Great graphics, great story and great acting. Plus the atmosphere is well constructed.

Some splendid acquisitions, especially MetaphorRefantazio, and that Sky Oceans game has completely passed my by! I'll keep my eyes peeled. Once you get the majesty of turn based JRPGs to click with you, your training will be complete, young Padawan 😂 Absolutely agree on not focusing on completing games, just throw as many as you can at the wall, and when one sticks, you know you have a winner 😎
@UnnecessaryRambling2 күн бұрын
It really is the best strategy man. Keeps it from feeling like a task, and you know if you’re playing something to its end, then you’re really digging it. So many games last year I was like… wait… why tf did I finish that?! lol. Ima keep trying to get into turn based games, I like pretty much everything about them other than the combat 🤣

Love these pick up videos. My game rotation is definitely influenced by this channel Games I've been playing January: Epic Mickey Rebrushed: 7/10 Katana Zero: 9/10, you might like this one Brandon, 2d pixel art style, fast-pace action, dark complex narrative Witcher 3: 10/10, unfinished, but a masterpiece-- will be an all-time favorite Castlevania Aria of Sorrow: 7/10 Lego 2k Drive: 8/10, gets better as you progress Wolf Among Us, just started
@UnnecessaryRamblingКүн бұрын
Love to see people diving into The Wolf Among Us, I gotta replay that this year man. Shout out to Lego Drive, people sleep on that game. Much better than it has any right to be. I’ll have to look into Katana Zero 👀 appreciate the recommendation homie!

If only I had a gaming channel. I also picked up a ton of games. Between Black Friday/ holiday sales but also my Walmart is preparing for a remodel so they have clearanced a ton of games. Some new some old. Most $10-$25. I got crazy deals. For example they had Alan wake 2 for $40.

Start one if you want to have a gaming channel, like he does. It's not hard. You really don't need fancy gear to begin: a phone capable of 1080p with good quality, and maybe a microphone if you want. Learn some editing, have some good ideas, and be willing to be recorded and seen. That's it, you're ready to go.

Start one up homie! It’s not too complicated to get going, I do absolutely all of my content from my iPhone. But yeah, there were some pretty damn solid deals this year. I missed out on a lot of them, ima have to keep my eyes peeled for next year

If you liked LiS 1 and 2, can't recommend True Colors enough. I think it'll have some of that edge you're missing in Double Exposure. And, IMO it has the best protagonist with some really interesting side characters. Very much worth checking out.

if metaphor/ Baldurs gate had some cheats or mods to speed some things up id probably play those. im like you i can't STAND turn based games... overall great pickups bro. i got to get that squirrel with a gun. and by the way finished control for the first time great game but i feel like I'm lost on the story a bit. it seems to be connected with Alan wake though lol.

I’m actually re playing through Control right now, I’m at the very end of the game, and I got lost lmao. Gotta pull up a guide to figure out where tf I’m supposed to go 🤣 but yeah dude the story is super out there, some of the most fun 3rd person shooting ever tho. Easily my favorite Remedy game from a gameplay standpoint

Have to agree with Metaphor, loved the production, artwork, music etc....but after 50 hours the tedium eventually won out and I stopped playing....I thought this might be a bit different compared to the Persona games (which I also cant get through to the end)....just not my type of game play I guess

I tried Dragon Quest XI, and I hated the grind, the repetitive combat. Its definitely not for me, and I never try again another DQ game. But there are good jRpgs, Resonance of Fate have had a good combat system I recommend it! Shadow Hearts is interesting too, or others say Lost Odessey on xbox 360.
