Not sure if you will see this, but I had a question I would love to get your input on. I used to bowl right handed up until 20 years ago. (Only 42 btw but started back in elementary schopl) - anyways getting back into bowling and learning left because I can not use my right hand at all. Wanting to start off straight(ish) to just have fun and get back in - looking for 2 balls, one plastic and a mix that is mostly straight but can hook slightly when I want, while I work on fundamentals and such but can still toss straight when I want, mix of fun and relearning without the stress and pressure (one that is forgiving so to speak)

My favorite bowling ball was a columbia black knight, a plastic ball. I bowled a 300 game with it.

Way back in the day, I had a Roto Grip that had 2 weight blocks, the main pancake and an offset one that gave side weight teamed up with a Columbia yellow dot. I was in a mini-tournament and was close to the top spot. The Roto was being a bit shaggy, so I switched to the Columbia, popped a 6 bagger and won.

2 seasons ago I only used sanded plastic a Geico viz-a-ball and I loved it and sanding it was just a random idea for fun and last season the second to last week of league went 9/ , x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,9- for my highest game with a plastic ball and I have had a lot of success with it in Vegas for this last June and the year before when I needed control
