Today we check out the new DLC of the Contra collab Operation Guns in Vampire Survivors as Brad Fang, a powerfl character that gains more cooldown reduction the less HP he has. And a bit more but we only care about the broken stuff. The main weapon is interesting as it is a screenwide clear but it seems per shot, you can only hit the enemy once. I am not fully convinced on this but it was hard to further test once the entire screen was exploding.

Just a head's up, this DLC doesn't go by the rule "you need to max out the passive items to evolve it." You only need the weapon box, the passive the weapon requires for evolution at any level, and the maxed out weapon to evolve the weapons in this DLC.

1. Foscari 2. Moonspell 3. Operation Guns 4. among us Foscari is fun, has great stages and solid weapons. Moonspell was the first big DLC, but it didnt get me as much as foscari did, although some of the moonspell weapons are more fun. Operation guns has, so far, some of the weakest but funniest weapons and I have a hard time making up my mind. I assume, similar to among us, you should play with 2 players to back each other up (literally), but I have no friends. I also assume, that amongus would be quite fun if you had more players. I just imagine everyone having one weapon each plus a lifesign scanner and everyone boosting each others stats.

Sharp tongue is easily my favorite weapon in the game so I honestly like the among us dlc. Nino has a good passive with upgrading weapons and becoming stronger, and giving players the choice of just using the among us weapons and getting more passives, or getting more weapons with the dual evolutions. Sharp tongue also grants access to recovery builds. I’ve used that with garlic, silver wind, and paranormal scan with the sacrabande of healing and it becomes a monster on megalo with hidden sharp tongue. As far as not fitting in, I think what vampire survivors is doing is having a lot of cameos, we’ve seen among us and contra so far, and I think they are trying to adapt a somewhat smash bros esque way of bringing in dlcs. I could be completely wrong though 😊

My favourite DLC so far has been Emergency Meeting, since the Polus map was so interesting, and the sus object enemies were so creative. Beyond that, it was also alongside that DLC that we got the update that added Adventures to the game, and it's interesting to have a semi-story mode.

I'm 99.9% sure Heart of Fire's damage is calculated in a weird way on the end screen. It adds damage it gives to weapons to the weapons themselves (like Slash) and the number shown is from other things like breaking candelabras and retaliatory damage. To test I took Queen Sigma to Abyss and limited to 2 weapons with Ebony Wings as my second, picked up Wicked Season, Boogaloo, Sanctuary, Gemeni, Heart of Fire and Slash, made it to around level 2,000 with about half going into V Sword limit break (I thought banishing E Wings at 7 would prevent it from being broken, it doesn't) and it did the same damage as Zhar Ptytsia (The bird you get with Ebony Wings when you pick Gemini), 5.0G total for both, though I got the bird 4 minutes in. Ebony Wings finished with 9.4 G and I got it on my first level up ~3 seconds in. I'll put the screenshots I took of this run into the Discord, and I'll link back here in that post. The thing is, HoF doesn't just add damage to your attacks, it does AOE damage every time your HoF weapons hit an enemy, so if your area is high enough then every enemy isn't just taking HoF damage when they get hit, but for every enemy that gets hit on the screen. If there's say 100 enemies on the screen and HoF is doing 25 damage and you hit all with an attack that does 160 damage (the numbers Dex mentioned in the video) then: Main weapon: 160 * 100 (number of enemies being hit) = 16,000 total damage for the main weapon. Heart of Fire: 25 * 100 (number of enemies being hit with main to activate explosions) * 100 (number of enemies being hit with each explosion) = 250,000 damage for HoF. Even if we assume this is at 0% might and give the main weapon a 10x multiplier (900% might) that still only changes the damage number from 16k to 160k, still 90k or 56% short of HoF's 250k in this scenario. This doesn't factor in limit breaks, but it also assumes only 100 enemies (more enemies means more relative damage for HoF for the reasons above, more enemies hit the more HoF explodes we the and the more enemies each HoF explosion hits). Anyway, love the content, but yea there's a reason the end screen shouldn't be trusted with HoF.

Legacy of Moonspell was a good initial DLC, but nowadays, i barely even use any of it's characters or weapons. Tides of Foscari is amazing, and i almost always pick Maruto to play with. Emergency Meeting is just as you say, doesn't fit VS, but the Scientist being so broken by itself, reaching lvl 10k, and the paranormal scan being a chaos boosting weapon, made me like the DLC. Operation Guns is an amazing DLC, and even I who didn't play much Contra before, enjoyed it. the only downside, is that from what i've seen, almost, if not all weapons from the DLC, are not meant to be played as solo weapon, because they just don't have enough damage. idk if it is intentional or not, but they seem to be very weak

When I played with Brad, his special passive effect resulted in the more health I loss the slower his main weapon attacked, but only his main weapon, not any other ones I picked up. His main weapon even stopped firing at one point!

It gains attack speed. What you refer to with stopping to fire was a bug that got resolved on the beta I'm playing on

14:35 it was probably nerfed cause nearly every weapon in the new DLC can benefit from the arcana, when before it was a niche choice that would help maybe a few weapons and only seriously works well if you use your other arcana slots for synergies with Gemini and divine bloodline

freezing helps in some waves? well now the 1 million kills challenge might be achieveable with that knowledge! the question is: micro-manage orologions to optimise per wave and be at the mercy of RNG (and having to figure out which waves it works best with), or sacrifice an arcana for Jail of Crystal so every enemy freezes when luck reaches 300% from Wicked Season but may be cucked on certain waves?

I think Heart of Fire might be more useful than you think in situations like this where you need the extra knockback, hits, and (with weapons like the Long Gun) AoE.

Lucked out as Fire Arm at enough cooldown will bug out. Its evolution has no such issues DLC takes The normal duo serve as a an expansion of things and some new things. Among us it seems go favor multi-player, pretty fun Operation guns is fun though with how the Grey items are, you're best off using Neo Galuga to seriously use them.

As for DLCs, I think Moonspell is just as bad as Emergency Meeting. Yes, it was the first stage with big map, but to be fair: you played on it and forgot it. Nor you are using any character from that DLC. And quite occasionally weapons. If you just uninstall that DLC, you would not even notice that.
