Ballistix is pretty cool. I think you would not use the dark matter explosive most of the time due to its destruction. The missile with the antimatter is more powerful than a nuclear one in that mod.

And insane TNT, I tried it. The only thing it is missing, is that when the TNT is ignited it does not turn into a entity and instead it emits the end rod particles before it explodes.

Ballistix has great potential, the effects they've added are like what you'd see in hbm nuclear tech mod. If they expand the mod a bit, it could be the replacement for hbm for newer versions of minecraft.

The physics mod would be a lot cooler if it created actual blocks and not just giblets that don't do anything. The Create mod has way better physics

Those weird geometric patterns when things explode come from the mechanism Minecraft uses to decide which blocks are destroyed. Explosions cast out a finite number of rays which permeate blocks (some better than others; compare TNT on leaves to TNT on stone). At high explosion powers and over long distances, the rays separate from each other, leaving a pattern of untouched blocks well within the explosion “radius”.
