Most things won't attack creepers to reduce mob griefing, if you want an enemy for testing that won't burn in sunlight a husk can be a good choice.

The normalitys mod rating is way to good. The items added seemed so random and most of them useless + nothing seemed to work properly

I'm pretty sure the Normality mod, unfortunately, stole textures and whole blocks from other more popular mods, the gingerbread and candy cane blocks are identical to those from Snowy Spirit, amethyst block also are identical to a certain mod that I can't remember the name of, but it adds tons of block variants, same goes for the fairy light that look just like the basic recipe from, well, Fairy Lights. That'd explain why a lot of those blocks have no use or aren't craftable in any way despite the mod being added on Dec 2023 and last updated in April 24, the creator also just went MiA after that April updates.

It's not uncommon for modders to use sprites and textures downloaded from copyright-free websites so maybe they just took it from the same source

It looks closer to a test, more than anything. The blocks ARE different, I went through and checked to see if they were the same - and they aren't. There is also the chance that the mod is broken with JEI, but I doubt it. And the mod you were thinking of is likely "Chipped". Maybe I'm wrong there, but that's the closest I could find within a short timeframe. And really the only similarities I can see with fairy lights is just the fact that they are fairy lights. So yeah, they are similar, but are different to the other mods.

I hope mods quit using ai generated assets, especially in cases like that gnome mod where the models looked very good and there was clear effort put in. It's not even a morality thing, it just looks plain bad.

ive seen so many ai generaed mod icons, where it just makes me think like.... you could have used sprites from the game for this and itd look so much better. or even just a screenshot from the game would look better. and more accurate to whats actually in the mod, too.

i saw one for turning wool into string or something like that, and for some reason they used an ai generated icon for it??? the string in the icon didnt even look like minecraft string. just a bunch of lines. the style was like. silhouettes of the block and string sprite. thats so easy to make for yourself, you could probably use damn ms paint for it. using ai for an icon just comes across as lazy.

The frog mod has so much potential, it just needs debuffing and some stuff They should add frog armour Maybe a side chest that you can wear, it should decrease jump power with the more items the frog holds It'd also be cool if you could use a rope to hold it to a fence whenever you're going into a cave or so And it needs a jump cooldown Praying it gets updated 😭🙏

imo normality is b tier edging on c. the concepts are good but there's so much going on. the mod maker needs to sit down and focus on one thing at a time. the theming is also strange. like. the ores and stone blocks are normal, but then there's christmas blocks???? and the way you get cloth is something out of a fantasy. same with the mushroom blocks. it's chaos...
