I'm skeptical that people smile at him more solely because of his height. I believe his negative self-perception before might have influenced how he interpreted others' reactions towards him. @@wynterbreeze1202 it was drastic, no doubt. Now I’ve been 6’ even most of my life but now im older and just starting to shrink a touch. My whole life I’ve seen men teased, brushed aside, and openly mocked for being short. I’ve seen some men develop a Napoleon complex ( aka short man syndrome) in response to the hostility and isolation they feel too. With body dysmorphia, isn’t there body image unrealistic and distorted? And their attempts to change their appearance in an attempt to ease the dysmorphia are fruitless or temporary ? This man is realistic it seems and I hope he finds peace.

I wonder if his back is messed up now. I'm 5'2." 5'5" is just a little short for men from western Africa. Just a little. 5'7-8" is average. We're not tall people. It's unrealistic to expect our people to accommodate European norms. People of African descent are either short or over 6' tall. That's just the way it goes. They was nothing wrong with him at 5'5" that some counseling couldn't have gotten him through. His back is gonna make him regret all his life choices. He's not made to be 6' tall. Now he's got a torso that's disproportionate to his legs and more than appearance, that's gonna destroy his back. He should have told those people to kiss his brown eye and found somebody who wanted him for him. He's perfect for a woman my height. Edited to add: Honey, you were fine the way you were. You were supposed to be compact and you've messed that up. You think being short is bad, I promise debilitating back pain is worse. And being tall increases the risk of back problems anyway. You've put all that extra stress on a structure that's not up to code. 2-3 inches is no more than you should have done because of that.

dude paid 100k to start walking with a limp. 2:16. people who have accidentaly had their bones broken (myself in sports) would never elect to do so. Bones which have broken in half never heal back to normal. in the winter the broken bone will ache. There is nerve damage. The bone doesnt grow back to original size it becomes alot bulkier and painful in general. 'doctors' who do this surgery should have their license taken away as they are breaking the oath they took to do no harm

I'm sure most people might say that it's not worth but, when dating is a huge part of your life, you might consider. I'm sure he didn't have an issue meeting women but, his height was the determining factor for most of his rejections. He was physically fit, likely made good money and had a great personality to boot. Say what people want, but height is extremely important to women in the west unless you're super successful financially. Ironically, very tall women have similar issues with dating but, it's still significantly better than short men.

@@sinistarz0253 I'm a doctor-- the procedure he went through should not affect his long-term health unless he pushes the boundaries too far. (i.e. around 7 feet tall) The human body is very resilient and can adapt to many things. This being one of them. Humans already have to adapt to modern life and vaccines which doesn't damage the body, but rather increases longevity. As much as I'm against this surgical procedure existing, as long as he's happy then nothing else matters, and he had the money to go through with it. It's a win-win for the parties involved

1:18 I hate it when people tell you to accept the very thing they make fun of you for. It’s all about dominance and hatred to those people wether they admit it or not. I used to be the second shortest male in my grade, and people like this man’s girlfriend acted like living nightmares toward me. It still irks me to this day even thinking back to it all. Unfortunately I think people are overly hostile to short people even more so now than back when I was the short kid in high school. The experiences I had in high school as a short guy made me cry in the school bathroom on multiple occasions and overall become a lonelier, more reserved person, but I’m still glad I had those experiences because now I can see certain people for who they truly are. If any of you disrespect short kings, you’re not getting my respect either.
@martinvanburen4578
@martinvanburen4578 Жыл бұрын
I don't think it's hostility, more of a lack of respect. what is weak we can dismiss. a short man is easy to dismiss and not take seriously because he poses no threat. you often hear older people acting like adults which is another way of saying, i will judge you in private but in public put on different face. children are honest and more cruel upfront. so what we have is a society that pushes ideals of working hard, valuing kindness, etc etc but doesn't value them across the board and consistently.

I'm 5'5, all my life wished that I could have been anywhere from 5'11 to 6'5. However, I would not do that surgery. My last few girlfriends were like 5'7 and 5'8 (though majority of women I've dated were my height and shorter). Even had one night stand with a lady from online dating, who was 6'1. That turned out to be a surprise for both of us, we both missed the height measurements on our profiles. We still had fun. I think social media makes it worse then it really is for short guys and dating. Its like in been the last few years, all of a sudden short guys are undesirable in social media. I mean short guys weren't popular like the tall guys. But now short guys being on the reject list, seems social media driven.

It’s frustrating to see the shallow standards that some women uphold when it comes to dating. The obsession with height can overshadow so many other important qualities a person might possess. Imagine being a well-rounded, successful guy who’s confident and caring, yet dismissed solely because he doesn’t meet an arbitrary height requirement! It’s even more disheartening to see shorter women demanding partners who tower over them-talk about irony! Height should never be the sole factor in attraction. Instead, we should be prioritizing character, compatibility, and mutual respect. It’s time to challenge these superficial criteria and recognize that true connection goes far beyond physical attributes. Let’s focus on what really matters in relationships!

Little bit of a contradictory message...'Don't care what anybody thinks, do what makes you happy'. But you do care what people think, that's why you got the surgery. WIth that being said though, I completely support the decision to do so. If we're being brutally honest with ourselves we know for a fact that tall men are treated vastly better than short men. It's just a fact. Rather than try and make the entire world change their mind, this is something you can control with the crazy advancements in technology. HELL NO I’d rather be alone 😂 I refuse. As something as minuscule as HEIGHT?? Sure lots of women prefer it but it’s a stupid preference that literally only caters to their feelings and this man over here is changing his BODY for shallow people who wouldn’t give him a glance at ALL. Same thing for women women have it EVEN easier when it comes to trying to find a man who is attracted to their body and YET there are silly women STILL getting BBL’s and that garbage.
