I'd almost forgotten how good Caleb is at drafting combo decks. His intuition is just so insanely sharp. The quintessential Johnny.

The draft felt like an insane person taking cards from every colour while ignoring all the lands but at the end of the day somehow ends up with a sleek heavy blue mana base with plenty of sources for all the splashed colours.

7:07 I don’t think it’s obviously the right pick here, but Flash has kinda silently become the best non power card in the cube now that you don’t just have worldspine wurm and woodfall primus, but also atraxa, vaultborn tyrant, Triplicate titan, and some other cards that aren’t really enough to win the game by flashing in but are still very worth doing so like etali, archon of cruelty, and crabomination.

Metamorphosis fanatic and flash is also insane if your doing flash reanimator. It dies then can reanimate itself and something else

Coveted Jewel is absolutely as much fun in EDH as it is in cube, if not more since theres more people to fight over it. I basically consider it an auto include for the fun factor, it helping games end sooner is a welcome bonus. I enjoy Monarch and Initiative stuff as well for the same reasons.

I think the One Ring is in fact the correct pick. It's great in every deck, so it's a much better first pick, and I think if you wanted to build a good Jitte deck you would pick the Nadu and hope to wheel the Jitte.

Jittie isn't even good. It's 100% not the correct pick. That's the easiest one ring of my life pick 1 pack 1. Nadu is the only other card to even consider, and it's way worse.

Jitte is also much closer to a 4 drop than a 2 drop, it doesnt do anything until 4 mana spent

I see you’re new here. Take a step back in time and watch a huge majority of his white drafts that trophy off the back of this one card and a good curve and you might change your mind. I do think that I’d also p1p1 the one ring fwiw but I don’t think jitte is a card to sleep on by any means. It basically makes the attack step untenable in creature v creature matchups where it’s easily worth trading 2 mana for jitte counters that either directly threaten the opps life total or ping off all their threats even equipped to a 1/1

Coveted Jewel is my go-to win condition in so many Commander games, it's just as good there as it is in Vintage Cube. Displacer Kitten + Jewel ends games instantly.
