Hiya. Chuck and Paige. A little late in watching this one. You're great to take all the ladies away. And they always enjoy themselves. You're so right. You only get one shot of this life. It is amazing how much support you all give to others and how long you have supported the kids. The kids are so cute. Mr Simpson doesn't have a feel. Paige is so cute. It is easy to forget to renew things. Luckily, you can still drive even though your license has expired. The fine is so cheap. Lunch looked tasty. Lovely place to stay. Nice place to eat. Dinner looked tasty. All the same size. 555. Thank you for sharing. Look forward to the next one.

Hi Chuck, I just returned to Oz from 2 happy weeks in the “magic kingdom”. Spent 3 nights in Bangkok, 5 nights in Bangsaen 85 kms from Bangkok on the Gulf of Thailand and 6 glorious nights in White Sand Beach, Koh Chang, one of your favourite places to visit in Thailand. The sea water there is so clean and clear because it is close to Cambodia on the Gulf. Had a scary experience on a snorkeling tour when I lost sight of our big boat because the current swept me around to the other side of the small island. Fortunately I am a strong swimmer and was able to use a long guide rope of find my way back to the boat. Moral is to always keep the mother ship in sight when you are snorkelling😜

Brings back memories Chuck. Last year I got busted at a checkpoint in Ubon for using my Nevada Drivers license. Said I needed an International Drivers License. Surprised you were charged 400 baht. My fine was only 200 baht. Wife also laughed all the way home.

I remember driving thru checkpoint in Issan and my Thai friends in the car say don’t look at them and keep driving which I did they didn’t care maybe they only looking for trucks that day I had my us license but not an international license

Saw how much a fine was there for driving expired. I work for the courts in Portland Oregon. Here that ticket would be $270. Not a bad deal there

Very well said.. 1st, find your passion in life and go for it (there is a reason you have that)... Yes you have to find a job to survive BUT never lose track of THAT dream/passion. One door closes (prob for a reason) another opens (probably to help nudge you to your dream). Scary yes, but do it!.. #2, this is super hard, but dig deep.. job, personal relationships.. drop-depart-leave what does NOT serve you - move on to what DOES serve you and makes you happy, esp find positive people and energy. #3.. be kind, be honest with yourself and your good/bad traits, better yourself, be the first to judge yourself and the last to judge other - you don't know their past or struggles. My nephew just went through this in Florida with an expired DL. Here it’s a $30 fine for up to six months after that it can be $500 and six months probation and if you wait a year to renew your license, you have to retake the test.

I got pulled over at a checkpoint on the way to Bangkok from Phayao a few days ago and got a speeding ticket for 500 baht. The cop showed me a photo of my Toyota driving 124 kph in the 120 kph lane. Driving the same speed as others in the lane but guess my speedometer is not calibrated at the correct speed.

Hey Chuck, entertaining vid again. You probably know this but before I renewed my 5 year license a guy told me to go a few days after it expires which is your birthday as you know. I renewed 5 days after mine expired and my renewal date now is in 5 years and 360 days. Just did it in August 2024, my license is valid till August 2030. So your new license will go to September 2030. Safe travels and have a great Christmas.

Going by the comments we have some of the steepest fines here in NSW Australia. $600 AUD or around $400 US for an expired licence here and cannot drive until the licence fee is paid. Then have a few weeks to pay the fine. This just reminded me to check mine, I've got a year to go. Thanks Chuck 😆
