I love this, because I like to make stuff but I'm certainly not a "musician" and don't know much theory. But sometimes I'll create a synth or piano melody and I'll never be able to get it to record in time. And then realize I'm naturally playing in 3/4 lol.

Thanks for checking out the channel Steven! No matter how much or how little anybody knows academically about music, we all feel it, and 4/4 and 3/4 are both common through the ages although 4/4 is getting a lot of preference in recent years.

He's using detune in Simpler and then Tuner to check the tuning

David nailed it, the transposition parameter is built into Ableton's Simpler/Sampler Devices which is what Drum Rack is using to play the drum samples. The tuner is there to confirm and fine tune the pitch.
