Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly was a game I cherished during my childhood so I decided to revisit it! Does this infamously rushed Spyro game stand the test of time? Well you saw the title so.....no? When you said it looks like the PS1 models but in HD - my god, there's never gonna be a more perfect description for ETD's graphics than this. Iirc, this game has a glitch that allows you to clip into the end of the game from the start. It can technically be beaten in just a few minutes lol

Exactly what i did. Though some say jump, i never glitched through while jumping. On gamecube just charge into the middle and wiggle around, youll clip through soon enough

It took so little to make us happy as kids, I really loved this game as a kid and didn't even notice the lack in quality. I always preferred Spyro 3 over it, though, so at least in that regard I had some sense of quality

David Spade didn't voice Sparx in this one, he voiced Sparx in The Legend of Spyro trilogy with Elijah Wood as Spyro. However in this one Spyro is voiced by Tom Kenny who also is the voice of Spongebob. The thieves are voiced by Dee Bradley Baker who was also Perry the Platypus in Phineas and Ferb. Bianca is voiced by Pamela Hayden who is Milhouse in The Simpsons. Zoe is voiced by Carolyn Lawrence who is Sandy in Spongebob. Rodtikiney and Porkins are voiced Billy West who was Fry and Dr Zoidberg in Futurama. Moneybags is Neil Ross who is Wally the cartographer in the Monkey Island games and of course Volgin in Metal Gear Solid. Hunter is voiced by Gregg Berger who was the Gromble in Aaahh!!! Real Monsters and Ripto, Crush and Gulp in the Reignited trilogy. :)

I remember loving this game exclusively for the cow level, I accidentally found that charging the edge of the island just right you’d get that swimming in air effect….way less efficient than your way but I was so proud of myself, I’d just fly around for hours 😅 simpler times

I played Spyro: A New Beginning and Dawn of the Dragon for hundreds of hours as a kid. The lore, mastering new breath weapons, and the boss battles were all ace as far as I remember. I wonder how well they hold up.

I played them last year, and while the story is still pretty damn good, the gameplay does get a bit annoying and repetitive, especially with The Eternal Night. Though while Dawn of the Dragon is very similar to the old God of War games, the gameplay is still kinda all over the place but it has some cool ideas behind it

4:06 i remember i first started playing morrowind on integrated graphics with no physics accelerator, and the water had no waves or reflections and was 100% clear. it made swimming not a bad experience. then i upgraded to a discrete card and got the physics, and i always felt like that messed up the game.

The load times for Wrath of Cortex are often longer than the levels themselves. Like 4, 5, 6 minutes.

When I was a little kid I always wanted to play Spyro but unfortunately I was a Nintendo kid so I thought it was impossible. I found this game at GameStop and got so excited because I could finally play the game with the cute dragon! I played the tutorial level when I and then I went to sleep. The next day I turned it on, the cat went to go talk to me, but the game glitched and when he opened his mouth some horrible static came out instead. Now I was a creepypasta kid. So buying a used game and having that happened made me think I was in an IRL creepypasta and I was scared SO bad I immediately opened up my GameCube, snapped the disc in half, and buried it under layers of garbage. And to this day that has been my only experience with Spyro.

Some of the music is decent (and you can even glitch the music to slow it down, Monkey Monastery is the best one for this). The Thieves level was pretty cool, too. Probably my favorite. On top of the rush to get the game out for the holidays, there were a lot of nasty issues going on internally with the developers that impacted the game hard. Imagine it being given the TFB treatment they did for Reignited and with proper time to develop the game into what it should have been or better.

I remember this being the first game that disappointed me. I tryed to love it ( spyro was my everything as a kid). and the only level that i liked was Cloud 9. The only reason I kept playing was for the music.

I like the ideas in this and TWOC but these were both super early experimental things that end up feeling like almost like rough DLCs now adays...I remember playing the gamecube versions later and seeing the issues where any reflections in TWOC demolished the framerate

in italian is even more hilariuos, for ex in the last seconds of the video spyro's lines "I wil keep blabla 4 ur friends" is badly voiced and soulds like "I will fuck your friends". There are some voice actors who burp while acting, i dont joke, just go to see it!
